This is based of the title of Jackson Pollock's 1950 work entitled "Autumn Rhythm." The musical measure created by the leaves is the first bar of the melody of Vivaldi's Autumn from the four seasons.

Wow, that actually is fairly similar. I had no idea that shirt existed. Hmmm. Do you think it's similar enough that I should pull it?
I guess that's what I get for assuming that no one would have thought of that idea before.

Well, considering that leaves and notes on a musical staff are the main concepts in each piece, it seems relevent.
And the artist him (her?)self is acknowledging the similarity...
It is a beautiful design, but I wouldn't expect it to withstand rejection.
To the artist: you have great talent, so I hope you keep entering derbies.

I've decided that I'm going to leave the shirt in. I was taken aback at first that there were two shirts that both dealt with autumn and music, but upon closer inspection there are a lot of differences (the leaves from the tree are acting as notes on the line of music, the background, and the general style and color).
