I knew this was yours from the thought bubble. I like it. ![]()
Re: Life Is Tragic
Nice! Simple, but funny
Re: Life Is Tragic
Awesome concept! Very Very funny once you stop for half a sec and think about it.
Re: Life Is Tragic
Funny. But I don't care for the thing in the dead girl's speech bubble.
Re: Life Is Tragic
I played this with my daughter last night! This is so clever. Nice one Boots!
Re: Life Is Tragic
life is such a cruel game +1
Re: Life Is Tragic
Looks like whoever is playing the doctor will get loads of money from this player. D:

Re: Life Is Tragic
Cute, but I feel like I've seen this idea before.

It really reminds me of Tgentry's MC Escher: Space Planner For Hire, from the Work derby. I think it's mostly the color scheme with the "speech" bubbles that have non speech in them. I like it though ![]()
Re: Life Is Tragic
I feel like this goes really well with "People on the Bus", "Friends are Forever", and "Knock Knock". They're all awesome shirts about things that I loved as a kid. And they're all on royal blue. It's almost like a collection. I am SO buying this when it prints.
Re: Life Is Tragic
Love it, Boots! Have you been around the past few weeks? I don't remember seeing anything by you lately...
Oh, any thoughts on the new Arcade Fire album yet?
Re: Life Is Tragic
I love your sense of humor!
Excellent one!
Re: Life Is Tragic

Re: Life Is Tragic
Haha, awesome. ^_^

Re: Life Is Tragic
Darn things did just always pop out of the car.
Re: Life Is Tragic
NOOOOOO! If only they had taken the college route this never would have happened!

Well it's nice to be missed, Mix. I'm getting The Suburbs as we speak (er... as I type, I mean). Have you heard it yet? Good? Fair? Notsogood?
Re: Life Is Tragic
Not everybody can be a winner at the game of life.
The best designer on this site.
The reason I'm so addicted to this site, actually.
Unequivocally gmv.

Thought you had been gone... It's not as fun to go through derby entries when nothing of yours can be found!
I actually had it ordered on Amazon about a month ago, so I had it since day 1. I was impressed, much of the album is sort of different than what they usually do musically, though vocally and lyrically it's in the same vein as their past work. The atmospheric difference is more my style though, as that's the type of sound that I usually go for. Great effort all around. Seeing them live on Wednesday, can't wait!
EDIT
My favorite tracks are Rococo, Modern Man, Suburban War, Ready to Start & Sprawl II if you wanted to know. If you didn't want to know, well, too bad. ![]()

I only went through it once, but I was really surprised at how good it was. I was kind of expecting it to be kind of mreh. It seems like they should be at the point where they're too busy and famous to make anything good anymore. Happily surprised!
After my once-over, I think I liked Suburban War and Half Light I and II the best, but that will probably change the second time around. Sprawl II was really good too. Good album!
Re: Life Is Tragic
I WANT!!!
that simple.
Re: Life Is Tragic
this would be a better shirt if you showed the 2 parents accidently leaving a kid behind at a rest stop. Or at least looking back seeing they forgot their kids.
Re: Life Is Tragic
I knew it was you before I clicked on it!

Funny image, but the perspective and angles are all over the place.

Like where? I'm not seeing it.
Darquis wrote:Like where? I'm not seeing it.
The front of the car is angled totally differently from the roof and windshield.
The people are seen from side three-quarter, with just a bit of the tops of them drawn.
By contrast, the roof of the car is top-down three-quarter, with all of it completely visible. Totally wrong.

I think what you're missing, though, if you've followed Boots' art at all, is that she doesn't follow any traditional perspective rules. She uses the "Boots Perspective", which is always a bit skewed from the norm. It may not follow the rules, but it is still completely wearable. ;)

Lol. I like things wonky. I actually had the people at a more downward looking perspective when I started, but they didn't look as much like the people to me. Wonkiness never bothers me visually, I know it irritates some people though.
Re: Life Is Tragic
I really like this design! Kudos! First thought I had was a Harley shirt I have seen that says "If you can read this...the Beyatch fell off" lol

Re: Life Is Tragic
We are all long over due for a Boots print! I don't want to resort to threats, but if this doesn't make it, I might just buy Nevermore out of spite!
Ok, probably not, but I still want this one.
Re: Life Is Tragic
I love you, Boots.
Re: Life Is Tragic
Shucks, I was really hoping this would print. ![]()
