This one I will wear. I love it!
Poor little fruits and vegetables! I'm going to start a group called People for the Ethical Treatment of Agriculture.

Re: Eat more meat
Equally suitable for me or my kids.
Meat lovers unite!
Re: Eat more meat
Dawww, so cute. And I agree with sTyLeS, it could be worn by anyone of any age. It's in with a great chance this time around!
Re: Eat more meat
As a vegetarian, I would ABSOLUTELY wear this shirt. More fruits and veggies for me. (pastries and grilled cheese sandwiches are fruits, right?)
Re: Eat more meat
I love how the banana is all "I'm lookin' at you...bizaaaash." Hahahaha!

Ha! And I thought vegetarians were all about pushing their lifestyle on other people, but your motives seem much more selfish
I love it!
Re: Eat more meat
Only wish the actual shirt was a darker green.
Will still buy this though :P

This seems to be a common misconception, and I wish I knew where it started. People seem to preemptively turn into defensive, antagonistic d-bags whenever I simply mention being veggo, and I've never been able to comprehend why ...

my personal beef (mmm beef) with most veggies is when they will call themselves foodies. You cannot be a foodie if you have eliminated a whole food group (and in some cases two, if you're vegan or otherwise decide not to go dairy).
It comes down to the fact that food is delicious, and not understanding why anyone would deprive themselves of the full compliment of wonderful edibles out there. I'm totally with people on sustainability and fewer factory farms and humane meat raising and such, but I see no good reason for not eating meat at all. I'm just as perplexed by carnivores on the other side, though. Vegetables are equally delicious. I've had some excellent vegetarian meals.
It probably comes as no surprise given how often I use the dining metaphor, but it's one more thing like the woot vote/buy struggle. There are so many great tees, and people here buy exactly one sort of not-so-great tee. When meat and animal products provide so much depth and so much flavor and so much diversity to the palette, for me, at least, it seems unreal why people would limit themselves.
But for most people, i think it boils down to most prejudices. Lots of veggies ARE totally preachy about it. And when it comes right down to it, it is a lot of fun to order the double bacon burger in front of those people.

I dunno...maybe they don't like being called d-bags. Just sayin'. ![]()

Man, I must really hate bacon then, based on the way I tear into it.
Re: Eat more meat

My husband started a facebook group called People For The Ethical Treatment of Plants. - accronym isn't the same, but it's the idea.
As a former vegetarian, I looove this shirt ![]()
Re: Eat more meat
This shirt makes me laugh so much. My hubby and my little brother...actually, all the males in my family (I kid you not) proudly call themselves meatatarians. If this prints, I will be buying several of these. :D
Re: Eat more meat

While this might be true in theory, in reality, most vegetarians I know are bigger foodies than the non-veggies I know. That has more to do with the necessity of eating varieties of foods when you're a vegetarian just to keep things interesting, coupled with the fact that most Americans in general have boring diets. Refusing to eat the cuisines of entire countries or regions (which, sadly, many Americans do) is more restrictive to being a foodie than being a vegetarian. In a given week, I often eat a slew of veggie-friendly, authentic meals from recipes from all over the world that most non-veggies I know will have never tried.
And as a vegetarian and a t-shirt lover, I resent/resemble the comparison. :P
Re: Eat more meat
As a facultative carnivore, I must have this shirt!
...Eat more meat! Save the vegetables! Salad is murder!
Re: Eat more meat
Very cute and wearable design for all ages. +1
Re: Eat more meat
Spend $10 just to annoy my brother-in-law? Oh, heck yeah!
Re: Eat more meat
I'm so glad this shirt is back!!! +1
Re: Eat more meat
I need this one! Please win! ![]()
Re: Eat more meat
If this prints, I'll buy one for myself and one for each vegi I know.
Re: Eat more meat
It's cute, but it really only works in the universe in which animals don't eat plants.
Re: Eat more meat
For some reason these guys remind me of the A-Team.
Diplomatic Apple = Hannibal
Broccoli = Faceman
Crazy Orange = Murdock
Hot Headed Banana = B.A. Baracus
OK. So maybe that's just me. ;)
Re: Eat more meat
This shirt is just plain otterific.
Love the premise, and the spin off of Chick-Fil-A's slogan.
The expressions on the vegetables just top it off. Excellent, excellent work.
Re: Eat more meat
But if we eat more meat then the animals will have to eat even more veggies than if we'd just ate the veggies in the first place!! Oh noes!
flamespear wrote:But if we eat more meat then the animals will have to eat even more veggies than if we'd just ate the veggies in the first place!! Oh noes!
It's okay the animals will eat grass. Grass has no soul.
This shirt must win!

Until someone draws little black beady eyes and a mouth on the grass. Then we'll feel bad for it too...
Re: Eat more meat
Wouldn't be surprised to see this print. It's very cute and wearable! I can't get enough of that banana...
bkearney09 wrote:Ha! And I thought vegetarians were all about pushing their lifestyle on other people, but your motives seem much more selfishI love it!
As a vegan I would wear this shirt right after This one
As for pushing their lifestyles on other people try being vegan or vegetarian for a while you get meat pushed on you all the time.

the only reason my diet is so boring is a lack of funds. i eat sandwiches all day, and i wish i would afford to regularly eat more interesting things (although i make a fantastic sandwich).

I want.....soo.......BAD!!!!

I'm not a vegetarian. My wife is. I've never felt like any vegetarians or vegans are pushing their lifestyle on me. They just don't eat meat in front of me. On the other hand, my wife puts up with people saying stuff like, "Meat is good for you. It's unhealthy not to eat it." and "You don't even eat fish? What do you eat? Salad?" and now this shirt.

Im not trying to attack anyones food or lifestyle choices. This was a simple cute design making a joke and I hoped people would see it that way. Judging by the response from vegans and vegetarians on both derbies this was in I think I succeeded. Sorry if you think I was attacking your wife. BTW thanks to everyone for supporting this design again
Re: Eat more meat
This one definitely I will get if it comes up. Totally adorable!
Re: Eat more meat
WAH! I hope this one wins! I love the angry banana!
MathUhhhSaurus wrote:WAH! I hope this one wins! I love the angry banana!
haha yeah am i the only one who sees this shirt not as pushing ways of eating on others but as the veggies' point of view?
btw this is such a cool shirt i just bought it!
