Re: Horses Of Courses
I kind of just wanted to see if I could do a design that looked like a cave painting with the limited colors. I think this is the first design I've done that has no concept whatsoever. It feels weird.

Of course there's a concept...fuzzy brown jelly-beans. ;)

I like this assessment.

Maybe it's symbolic of Obama and Reagan coming together and melding as one, bridging the political gap.
Re: Horses Of Courses
Nice style Boots. It looks like a cave painting, but you could also probably use that style in designs with nothing to do with that. GMV.

I like it when I get compliments from you, Travis.

Re: Horses Of Courses
love it! +1
Re: Horses Of Courses
yes! I agree, its amazing style!!
Re: Horses Of Courses
You can tell that the people who drew these kinds of chubby horses were -mainly- interested in how much eatin' there was on them. :^)
Nice design, Boots.

"Flurffy" I have a new word! I love it!
And I really do like this design. While I can't imagine it's significantly different from what a Paleo-dude or dudette rendered back in the day (in fact, some cave paintings in France come to mind), it still works on the theme of 'what would you have created' back then.
And - I just LIKE it.
Re: Horses Of Courses
If Norman Thelwell had been a caveman! Neat.
Re: Horses Of Courses
Yes, reminds me of the lascaux cave paintings, looks good.
Rake This![/url]
Giant, furry, prancing, beans..... *goes back to history class*
Re: Horses Of Courses
Really neat style BootsBoots, I like it.
Re: Horses Of Courses
When I first read the theme for the new competition this is exactly the sort of image that popped into my head. Yours came out way more beautiful than mine would have. You're definitely getting a vote from me.

Embrace the weirdness!
Re: Horses Of Courses
I adore the obese cave-horses. GMV
Re: Horses Of Courses
fat unicorns?
Re: Horses Of Courses
There's something really appealing about these chubby horses. Nice work on the texture too.

Re: Horses Of Courses
You fooled me! I had no idea that this was yours!
I clicked because I wanted to see how you used the 6 colors to get the effect of having many more. I like how this turned out.

Bwahaha! Branching out with different art styles SUCCESS!
Thanks for all the comments, everybody.

Success indeed -- this turned out great! :-D
Re: Horses Of Courses
For being so simple, this is a really beautiful design.
I have a near overwhelming desire to give one of those horses a belly rub.
Re: Horses Of Courses
This is my absolute favourite piece by you ever, BB. If you ever reprint it somewhere else - or would be willing to sell me a template I can get printed for myself - do please let me know! I'm super pissed I was so sick this week I didn't vote and this didn't make the fog. ![]()
