Re: Test Tube Baby

I thought this design would be the perfect base for a "Test Tube Baby" shirt, and hopefully if is different enough from my original design.

This is very well executed and I laughed at the pun...but I'm not sure I see it fitting "scientific method"

I have a feeling this is going to get rejected with the H, O, X, Y, etc. it may slip by though with how wmall they are.

I think the way the letters are used would fit woot's limited use of text this week - the flipside is, this shirt could easily be rejected for being off theme instead.

Yet another patrickspens shirt that I can't wait to print. Great design.

Re: Test Tube Baby

This is a good concept on a nice looking design. I would have gone for a green baby with blue and yellow parents or some other combination where the mix of the parents' colors makes the color of the baby.

I love this one, but there is something that constantly bothers me. Someone may have already address this, but doesn't red and blue make green? The dude should be blue and the baby should be green in my opinion, adding that little artist joke in there.

Still a superb job as always!

Edit: I am dumb- blue and yellow make green... Whatever, I just mean use the color wheel to create the baby.

Actually, (pushes in glasses with index finger) I believe Green and Red are complimentary colors. Also, this might show that blue was the recessive trait on the beaker and Erlenmeyer parents. And furthermore, the color wheel goes out the window in chemistry due to the occurrence of the chemical reaction. (Gives self wedgie for incredibly dorky answer)

Eh, good point. Stuff does dissolve and whatnot, and who knows what's in those thingymabobs (I apologize for using such sophisticated lingo).

Since it is art though, it still bugs me not to see it, but its a minor... really doesn't matter since it looks great as is. Just was something that seemed too appropriate to pass up... but that just my take and not yours.

Ironically, you're correct that if printed, the paint used to create little Test Tube would not require red. It would have been funny if the colors of the parents were reversed, cause then we'd all know...the beaker wasn't the father. Mmmwhahaha!

Aw, sorry to see this out of the fog PS. You really worked some magic differentiating it from the original design. Plus, adorable.

I though the same thing at first about the color comparison verus what looks good on a shirt and then it hit me. Sometimes the need for a test tube baby is because one or both parents can't have children, hence the unusual color. Alternatively these may be the Brad and Angelina of scientific measuring instruments.

Will you be selling the "test tube baby" shirt elsewhere? I would love to buy one and I know other science teachers that would as well.
