Re: flipaphobia

I'm brand new at this. Anyone have any helpful hints? I've already figured out that my comp is awful.

I'm having trouble depicting much of the details in the design. Presentation really is key. So working on your comp image can help. Remove the swatches of shirt colors from the image and use all of the available space. Show some close-up detailed shots of the turtle and frying pan so people can see what it is they'd be voting for.
If you don't think you have much room in the comp image to show a whole lot of details, you can at least post some more images in your thread.
One idea that helped me is to take a look at the shirts that are in the fog and see how they present their comp image. Usually it's a large image of the design, and a smaller shirt image showing layout overlayed on it.
Give it a try.

Thanks for the advice. It's hard to tell what things will look like until you've tried a few I guess. I'm posting a different design shortly, and I'll see if things get better! Thanks again!

I'd have voted for it if it didn't have the frying pan thought bubble. I think the idea of a turtle being afraid of a spatula is funny, but the "explanation" kinda ruins it for me. It would be much better to let a viewer take a second to think about why a turtle would be afraid of a spatula and figure it out themselves...I guess it's that "show, don't tell" mantra they kept telling us in writing classes.

Thanks. You are entirely right. I asked a few people what they thought before I had the eggs, and their response was to slow for my confidence level I guess.
