Re: This goes to ELEVEN v2
Some people were thinking there should have been the extra colored bar to indicate 0 (I assumed that if we had a green bar, it was already at 1), so this variant adds that extra element.

Re: This goes to ELEVEN v2
THIS WILL MAKE A ROCKING SHIRT!
LIKE THE SIZE OF THE GRAPHIC AND COLOR CHOICES
CLEAN AND DIRECT
TOO BAD U CAN'T TRANSFER THE VOTES FROM VERSION1
GOOD LUCK

Yeah, V1 is doing a bit better, but I hope it'll even out.
Re: This goes to ELEVEN v2
I like this better. the lowest position for the dial has to be zero, or you can't turn the thing 'off' level wise.
(sorry, have run way too many mixing boards in my life.. of course many modern boards go from a large negative value up to zero.. but that blows the 'goes to 11' joke entirely, so we won't go there.
Re: This goes to ELEVEN v2
I like this version better. Not only because now there is a clear 0, but also because now there are two of every color except red so it matches the equalizer in the middle

Thanks for the support! Yeah, now I can't stand looking at the other design, since as a guy who does bioacoustics, I should never have made the error. The dots came first in the design, and the circular bars were an afterthought...
Re: This goes to ELEVEN v2
This one works much better. GMV
Re: This goes to ELEVEN v2
Istead of "v2" you should have called it "This REALLY goes to ELEVEN."
That'd be funny.
Re: This goes to ELEVEN v2
Re: This goes to ELEVEN v2
go SKEKTEK! GMV!
Re: This goes to ELEVEN v2
Rock and roll!

- Congratulations on winning a Best Loser Award!
- This is not SPAM.
- Winning a BLA does NOT mean this shirt won't print -- I'm hoping it does.
- Your one and only gift is this crappy little badge in your shirt thread. Enjoy.
- Done up in blueprint blue; it sure looks good on you.
Thanks Robert!
You've been doing very well yourself regarding the derbies too. If only I could have removed v1 from existence...

Don't they remove them by request still? It's been a long time since I've asked I know...

Honestly at this point (and at the point of your post) it was too late for it to have been effective.
That said, I believe they will, although I'm not sure how one's rights to the design are impacted with such a withdrawal - the shirt having exceeded the limit woot places on "take backs" means it'd be woots to do with as they wanted for the contract period, right?

Yeah, I should have pulled v1 when I was still in the 24 hour window, but it was doing well so I left it. After I realized people really liked it (about 36 hours afterwards), it was too late.
Could I have asked Woot to reject it anyway? Probably. But at the same time, I didn't want to set a dangerous precedent for designers to submit several iterations of a design and ask to pull all but the most popular one.
I'm very happy how it was received though, and I personally thank everyone who voted for either design version!
THANK YOU!

Hmm. I'm just assuming the rule we had in place back in the old days -- that you can ask your shirt to be rejected -- was still in place if you didn't act within the 24 hour window. Now I'm not so sure...
Re: This goes to ELEVEN v2
I think this would have been better with the extra segment (compared to the original) being off the right side. Then it would have the normal 0-10, with the extra 11 going past 10.
Re: This goes to ELEVEN v2
I know this has been done for a while, but I would just like to say that I LOVE this shirt! Very creative to have the equalizer being a "rock hand." Awesome entry. I hope that you'll put it up to buy somewhere else if Woot doesn't print it.
