Re: Freed
Thanks for all the pre-derby help!
Some closeups:

Love this design... GMV
Re: Freed
I think this is one of your nicest designs, jas'. Mid-century modern art has a lot in common with your personal style already, so this was a great fit. :^)

Re: Freed
Oh wow, this is BEAUTIFUL, Jas. Love the tilt on the buildings, and the textures are awesome~ The birdies are adorable, but I think my favorite part are the cages at the bottom - LOVE them. GMV - I'd love to wear this one ![]()
I like the textures, colors, and pretty much everything else!
JRWorkshop wrote:this derby worked in favor of your style. Lovely
I second this comment and what others have said to about this being in favor of your style.
The oddly skewed buildings and the placement of the birds really adds to the presentation as a whole.
Totally GMV.

Thanks everyone!

Re: Freed
I didnt get a chance to mention this in the pre-derby thread but I knew your style would mesh well with this derby! Great job ![]()
Re: Freed
This... is awesome. Wonderful colors, great design... yeah, GMV. And hopefully a purchase.
Damn, I've been on a royal blue binge recently (including 'The Binge'). This is not a bad thing. Blue shirts + blue eyes = win.
Re: Freed
This really puts me in mind of Kurt Vonnegut's artwork for some reason.
I knew this derby would be right up your alley.
Maybe your best design yet.
Re: Freed
@jessebyah - it's so funny how you knew and a lot of people are saying that! Thanks!
@misskari - People seem to think so!;) Thank you!
@zandersZa - Thanks so much!
Actually I think royal blue is my number 1 shirt so far too - total coincidence, including some randoms I liked. But I don't have the win of blue eyes, hehe.
@littlebubbles - Thanks littlebubbles: )
@valtr0 - hmm I'll have to check it out.

Very, very nice work - textures, colors, concept, composition, etc. are wonderful. Good luck!
Re: Freed
I will undoubtedly by this shirt when it wins, but I would also love to see this framed. Possibility/
Re: Freed
I like your usage of texture and color in this design. The small decorative curves of the birdcages is a nice touch. Good job with the style.
Re: Freed
This is your derby Jans, your style fits perfectly and plus you did an awesome job here! Seriously I love it!

Re: Freed
This shirt design is really nice. I could use a blue shirt, so best of luck and I hope your shirt gets picked!
Re: Freed
This t-shirt doesn't just capture the style of mid century modern art, but rather is art on a t-shirt. Very well done, I sincerely hope this wins so that I can purchase and wear it.
Re: Freed
That texture together with the concept really assemble this piece into a rockin' design. Very chill.. pleasant to look at.
