Where's pluto?
Not a planet anymore.... *sigh*
Re: Song of the Cosmos
Nice, but it looks kinda funky the way only half of the sun is on the shirt. Straight edges like that don't work so well on a t-shirt IMO. How about putting the entire sun in the design? You could make it "sticking out" of the musical notation on the left.
Re: Song of the Cosmos
I'm not sure if this is how it's going to end up, but this seems a lot more "space"-related than star-related. Yes, obviously our Sun is indeed a star, but the focus is most certainly on the planets. Not saying it should be rejected necessarily for being off-topic, but...Just my thoughts.

That being said, it's certainly a pretty cool design.

Agreed, a cool design, but probably would have been more appropriate to a Planets derby.
Re: Song of the Cosmos
i cannot resist and and i try to play the music and is nice :D, slooooooooooow but nice
Re: Song of the Cosmos
Is this a quote from Holst's "The Planets"...if so, a cool reference for us music geeks.
Re: Song of the Cosmos
Also, and not a huge deal but, your 2 "quarter notes" in the 3rd space should have matching stem direction; ideally, both stems should be point down if you want to be more musically accurate.
Re: Song of the Cosmos
Nice work MJ :D
Re: Song of the Cosmos
Damn you Geek! Perpetuating the lies of the establishment!
Long live Pluto! Long live Pluto!
Nice and simple, I like!
Re: Song of the Cosmos
I don't know why so many people hate are saying rude things about this shirt; it's amazing. You should give yourself a lot of credit, don't listen to what other people say.
Re: Song of the Cosmos
wow, people have a lot of opinions without having a creative eye. keep the sun where it is man looks cool coming in half way, and straight edges work fine. love the shirt hope this makes it cause i want one. very cool design
Re: Song of the Cosmos
This is a sweet design exactly as it is. What's next, people saying the sun isn't to scale? (good luck fitting that on a shirt!).
Lovely work, geekfactor12.

in fact show just half sun is pretty clever since that reminds the bass clef.
by the way in spanish the treble clef is called "clave de sol" :D
I gotta know. What song is it? I can only read tablature and am curious to know what melody you used.

It would appear to me that the only "rude" things being said have been a suggestion to have the whole sun in the picture and to correct the notes, both of which were, again, presented as suggestions. Nothing rude here.
Re: Song of the Cosmos
Would be super cool if you could resub with the music for "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star"

Like you said by putting the sun there, it really is a treble clef. Treble clef = clave de sol and sol=sun=G note. Another little thing that would make this design even better for anyone that knows music notation, was to put saturn below the lines making it a C note.
Like the idea but the execution seems to lack dimension. It's very flat looking.
Re: Song of the Cosmos
Wow great idea as mentioned above; if Saturn is middle c, then it would be like it had a ring on the bar (if you know what I mean).
Re: Song of the Cosmos
Though many people say this looks too flat, I love the way that looks with this design. It was actually one reason I voted for it. Good work!
Re: Song of the Cosmos
Love.
Re: Song of the Cosmos
Wish there was a little Pluto shoutout...maybe as part of a rest.
However, I still love this design :D +1
Re: Song of the Cosmos
This looks like it is not even going to get in the top nine.....ugh. I really want this shirt!!
Re: Song of the Cosmos
This is really great! My nostalgia wouldn't have minded a little Pluto action either--maybe as a fermata on Neptune
But even so, I really like this!
