Re: Trigonometree

Math teachers get asked all the time if trigonometry has any relevence to real life. Some people just don't 'get it' till they leave school.

I like the dichotomy of the simple OH GOD, THEY'RE WATCHING ME outline with the more detailed actual OH GOD, THEY'RE WATCHING ME.

The angle of elevation really does equal the the angle of depression!! A well executed idea and I love the detail on the fallen t.r.e.e.

Like my fellow nerds, I too am a sucker for Math shirts. This is great, original, and fits the derby theme well. Great job!

It's nice to know I wasn't the only one who imagined something like this in math class. Please please print!

Funny....until you go walking during your lunch hour one day...and are the one that finds the guy under the tree like that. Believe it or not, that actually happened to a group of walkers from work a few summers ago.

This is something I weighed up when I drew it. Trauma can be associated with just about anything, and I hope it does not come off as insensitive. The focus here is on the unlikely outcome and the 'what if' absurdity implied by textbook diagrams.

Thanks very much Spiritgreen. Someone's fallen foul of that trigonometry diagram. This looks like a job for toast.

I've always been a math geek and my family owns a tree service. I'll buy 3 if they make it.
