Oh my gosh. If I could anaylyze the psychology of the artist of this picture I would certainly say they have a resiliant, beautiful personality, and likely have had good solid values and morales in place for a long time. I know the feeling .

Gorgeous design and brilliant imagination! I want to wear this to school. I can think of a few students who remind me of mr. lion. :D

The more I look at this, the more I like it. I really dig the different line styles that make up the lion's design. It's visually stimulating and very intricate, but also beautiully cohesive. Kudos. -:]

I think this is my ultimate favorite in the derby, and there are loooots of shirts I love this week! Such a great message, and wonderful illustration to boot. Amazing job, Star. I shall vote and hope to see this print!

THE best expression of the theme. Except maybe one of the Edgars.
Or a tie.
At least a tie.

This is a beautiful shirt, and I'd love to see it print, but is it perhaps too similar to "Class Time Used Effectively"?

http://shirt.woot.com/friends.aspx?k=9599

I haven't tattled on it because I'm not sure if it is similar enough. But I thought I should mention it. Sorry. The artists have different names, so presumably not the same person, they just had the same idea.

Well, I'll have to disagree there. The only common thread I see between the two designs is the artwork "coming off the page" to be visible to the audience, which is not exactly an original concept. The styles of the two designs are also completely different in my opinion, as is the theme of the lion "breaking the mold" of prescribed artwork in this shirt.

Fair enough, thanks. This is why I didn't tattle on it myself, because I'm not sure what is, or is not, considered too close for the 'similar shirts exist' rule, so I'm leaving it up to the regular community here. This is a nice shirt, so it would be good if it prints.

I like how a turtle is one of the "uncreative" characters in this...

Imposter Pete was Unprepared for the Almost Human Nightmare Cuckoo Clock. The Walrus and Eggmen were the Height of Envy at the Monkey Bar. See the DJ spinning records on a Flora Phonograph while simultaneously playing Rock, Paper, Scissorhold.

Thank you for the poem link! It is so easy to extinguish creativity without realizing it. On the print, I had my own analogy about domesticated animals being "dulled" but then the turtle, clearly a wild animal, was contrary to that first impression. Also, the wings on the lion are too Narnia for me.
