"Slow Seeped Tea"

One of those tea cups is getting away! I was thinking "what's slower then tea? I know turtles!" and so I drew this. I really have no idea why but turtles remind me of a tea cups.

Nice Turtle! It's good to know that there are still artists that can be still be creative with the turtle (or bunny, or penguin). I voted! =)

Soooo cute. The turtle would make a good teapot, too, but I really like the way there's a pool of tea in the shell. Did you come up with this idea during the last derby?

I got this idea on Saturday this week. I can't remember what made me think of it. Maybe last week's T-ea derby was hanging around in my mind. =D I do tend to hyper focus on animals and I was drawing turtles last week so I don't know. LOL, I was trying to decide between the tea cup and the teapot for this idea and decided to stick with my original idea of the slowly running away tea cup turtle.

Lord this is cute. I had a box turtle when I was a kid named Reggie. He was awesome. This reminds me a little of him because he was always on the move! Go little dude! +1

I have some concerns about this cup. Normally I wouldn't have much trouble tracking the lethargic li'l guy down, but since I'm most likely to be drinking tea when I'm sick, I could see this getting pretty frustrating.

You know way back in junior high I actually made a turtle teapot. As a turtle it looked pretty sweet but my ceramic skills left it's functionality as a teapot wanting. The spout channel was too narrow and he dribble vomits any liquid you attempt to poor from him. Anyways that turtle is a fine design . . .maybe some day he gets realized in 3 dimensions? Just puting it out there.

I love this! The turtles' shells are really, just ... super pretty. I dig the style, overall. -:D I also have an infatuation with tea or coffee cups that are fatter at the bottom and narrower at the top. How did you know?!

GMV, for sure. -:]

Ha ha ha, I read your mind! Well actually I just thought the little fat tea cup shape would suit a turtle pretty well. I'm really fond of how the shell part of the coloring turned out on this. Thanks for the vote!

LOL, well the little guy could be running toward you, not away from you. But yeah being sick and chasing down your cup of lukewarm turtle tea... maybe not so fun. =D
