Re: you spin me right round

A doodle tribute to retro audio. Seemed fitting to create it in a way that I assume they used back then, so it was almost entirely hand drawn on paper and just colored in photoshop.

Two colors on an asphalt tee. Here is a closeup of the halftones:

Thank you! I've decided to stop trying new things and just use my favorite colors every single week. It's going to be all neon sunset, all the time.

Is this 'girly'? I don't care. I want one. GMV.

I absolutely love the colors on this and that you put it on asphalt rather than black. Admittedly I have too many asphalt shirts but I definitely think it was the best color choice for this design.

So far, this is the only entry I think I'd actually buy. +1

Love your style as always. I think it's got a great use of colors. I think it would be easy to go down a certain route with the "sketchy" music thing (you see them on Target tshirts all the time)... but you did it with class and a different slant. GMV.

A little bit on the feminine side for me, but the design is detailed and looks great on a shirt. Well done.

Oh damn, how could that be ?
I was so sure this design had a good chance to print, and I thought I could add a second jewelwing t-shirt to my collection this week-end.
I hope it can print somewhere else in the future.

Yes!!! This needs to be in the top three. This is the best shirt out of the top 9 by far.

To reiterate:
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Glad to see it back in the fog, even if the odds of seeing it print are slim now...

Not to start an argument or anything since I find nothing whatsoever wrong with this design (though it's not my favorite - no offense to the artist, of course) and I DON'T think it should be rejected, it's a nice shirt, but I am curious why everyone who was attacking the Cthulu shirt for being 'pop culture' is silent here. A depiction of a literary monster from a series of books not read by most of the population is pop-culture, but the walrus and the eggman from a very popular song that most of the population have heard/heard referenced have not? I don't know many people who could properly tell me anything about Cthulu if he/it was mentioned, but almost everyone I know would reply 'Cukoo-kuchu!' if I said, "I am the eggman!" Far more people have heard that song than have read Lovecraft's work.

So, sorry all you 'Cthulu-is-pop-culture!' ranters, but your inconsistencies all but scream artist/subject bashing to me.

I think its because the Beatles references are like easter eggs in this design, while the cthulhu reference was the whole point of the other one.

Thank you for hanging in all weekend; I was sure it would print this time. But the men ruled. Since no one else prints 3XL, I guess I'll never see this one in my closet.
