Re: Taco it's spanish for taco
Are we going to witness the first Odysseyroc derby print?
Could be...could be...
You go, Mr. Dufresne, if you please.
As just slogans go, this is easily the funniest fogged shirt.
Damn it, I jinxed it. :/
Re: Taco it's spanish for taco
I would definitely buy this, and not just because I haven't had lunch and it's 3:26 and I'm REALLY hungry.
+1

A bonus for those of you who enjoy this design and tacos. The recipe for my secret weapon: Derby Tacos

So, what's the difference between a fajita and a soft shell taco?
NameyMcName wrote:So, what's the difference between a fajita and a soft shell taco?
The difference as far as I can tell is fajitas are for people who don't really like mexican food, tacos are for people who really love mexican food. The kind of tacos you get from a "taqueria" are usually going to consist of 2 really small small corn tortillas (because a single one will just fall apart), meat, cilantro and onion. They'll also have squeeze bottles full of salsa, sliced radishes, and maybe pickled onions and jalapeno.
Re: Taco it's spanish for taco

When I saw this last night in the pre-derby thread, I was mad chuckling about it. I think this is the funniest slogan here. Nice work:D

Re: Taco it's spanish for taco
we play scrabble games at lunch and there never fails to be an argument on whether or not taco should be allowed because its not an english word...i would like to wear this shirt during those times.

Making this for dinner tonight in honor of voting for this shirt!
Great design, btw!
Re: Taco it's spanish for taco
Must own this shirt. Great design, Tony! Taco, taco!

Awesome! They're the easiest thing to make and really good. The main thing is to get that meat sliced as thin as possible (like you would for a cheese steak). I also recommend Mission's "extra thin" corn tortillas, if you don't have a Mexican market near you that sells "taqueria size" corn tortillas.
Re: Taco it's spanish for taco
You had me at Taco... GMV!

You are forbidden from ever eating another taco or otherwise entering an establishment serving quality Mexican food ever again.

What's the deal here?
Seriously? How did this get this far behind in the votes? Not fair...

I started off thinking this was my Andy Dufresne moment, but it turns out I'm more like Agamemnon Busmalis from OZ

Wasn't Taco the name of an 80's group as well?
normadelc wrote:Wasn't Taco the name of an 80's group as well?
A one hit wonder, who butchered "puttin on the ritz". I remember when I lived in San Diego a few years back, a couple friends and I decided to try this new burger joint, and to our horror sat there for a half hour eating, while Taco's "puttin on the ritz" played on a constant loop. The food wasn't bad, but we never went back, out of fear of getting that song stuck in our heads for eternity.

God damn, love this design... I'm disappointed in the voters. With this and Walmazan's design out of the fog I doubt I'll be buying anything this weekend.

I agree.
There was a lot of potential in this derby as a whole, but not too happy with the way voting has turned out.
Re: Taco it's spanish for taco
Ahh, the clueless average Woot voter. They are at least consistent.
Here's a cheer up. Hub and I went to Playa Chac Mool in St. Augustine for an early dinner tonite. Two 3-choice combos. Enchilada, chimichanga, burrito (for the hub), tamale, tostada and chorizo taco (for me). Lots to share. And a couple of really good Margaritas, too. No mix. No mas! My belly is full! ![]()

Chac Mool-
"The meaning of the position or the statue itself remains unknown but the statue served as a sacrifice repository of the blood, offered to our ancient gods, accumulated from young hearts for many centuries."
great name for a restaurant!
edit; I understand it's the name of a beach, but still just hearing Chac Mool makes me think of sacrifice and blood.

Oy! Lol! It's in the Yucatan, and so are the folks who own/run this restaurant. I'm sure they hope their clientele isn't as astute as you.
In any case, I was tasty, and I'm so full, two hours later, but I still want another chorizo taco.

I'm all about the soy chorizo from Trader Joes, these days. Soyrizo and egg tacos make a great breakfast.
