Re: Red Moon
perfect with the tree silhouette. i would buy this, because it's that hardcore.

Re: Red Moon
Thanks for the comment and to everyone who voted on this design so far. I´m quite surprised on how well this is doing. Almost one hour since the beginning of the derby and it´s still in the fog... My best start of a derby by far.
Re: Red Moon
I think it might look cooler with a couple of gravestones below there, but otherwise, pretty decent idea.
I sometimes find it hard to wear some of the woot shirts, but buy some because I like the design. This one is very nice and if it wins I will buy it and wear it often. Very nice work. +1 Vote.
Re: Red Moon
That looks awesome! I am impressed with how much detail is in the design with only red ink.

You can go to Teetrade.org and do a search for 'Late Halloween Night' if this doesn't win. A really similar woot shirt might be available.

Ok, now I understood your post about the gravestones... You could always put here a link to your t-shirt Late Halloween Night, since it seems you´re posting because you feel that this design is somehow a "copy" of your design. For the record, here's the link to a previous design I submited to Woot that was the starting point for this: Lost My Nuts Within the Jungle.

nah, certainly not a copy. just similar. without the squirrel, and with the red color, I'd say this one is pretty similar to the halloween night shirt, more so than to the "lost my nuts" design. I just thought you should be made aware of the previously printed derby shirt. It's been a long time, so I can see why you didn't know about it.

Yes, in 2007 when your design was printed, I didn´t even knew about Woot or even thinking of submiting designs to any t-shirt contests. I made my post because when I read your first comment, I didn´t quite understand it and I thought it was good to clarify things, to avoid any misunderstandings.
Going one step further, the inspiration for this design came from the cover of the book I´m reading at the moment, Solar by Ian McEwan. The image on the back cover is similar to the front but in red.
Re: Red Moon
MORE RED!........less orange. Yah? Also, black shirt, meh, too many of them print and too many in my closet.. Unless your design is amazingly must-have incredible, I will not buy black shirts anymore. In this case, only the orange tone is killing my vote. Consider submitting another, RED without orange tones version? Pretty please? And let the masses decide the colour choice - something I would rarely recommend, but in this case, I have nothing to lose.
Re: Red Moon
Also you need more half-tone glow as you have a bit at the top of the moon ALL AROUND the moon to show that the tree branches extend across the moon and don't simply end at the moon's edge. And because moons actually glow and disperse light, all around them, like any spherical light-emitter. You must demonstrate this fact for realistic accuracy & to flesh out the currently abruptly lopped-off look of the branches covering the moon.
Re: Red Moon
i really like the concept, but every time i look at this, i see one of those pictures of the inside of an eye
Re: Red Moon
Although it wasn´t the reason for this design, it still is an interesting coincidence: Moon to turn blood red this Wednesday.
Thanks to everyone that voted on this design so far, it´s been quite a surprise to see this last for so long in the fog.
