Re: Walking the plank
We don't need books, now, right? We can pirate them for free off the internet. So might as well throw those legitimate paper books into the deep abyss.

I'm sorry, I'm not saying I don't like your design, but I pay for every book I read on my Kindle (unless it happens to be offered for free). . . not sure how those aren't "legitimate."

I'm not saying that the majority of people don't pay for their books, but it's a general trend that people are not buying paper books and instead are getting them electronically. So the paper book is getting short shrift. I'm playing to the pirating, but the design isn't simply about pirating, but getting an electronic copy of Treasure Island by R.L.S. over a paper one, thereby allowing you to throw away the paper copy.
Also, it's kind of a dig against our increasingly disposable society. I prefer hard copies of everything- music, books, vinyl, paper photos, etc, in case something happens to my devices. I still got it.

That I can get behind.

Re: Walking the plank
I really like this one. I just think that the ebook readers are an abomination, myself.
Treasure Island's actually free in the Kindle store...no need to pirate it lol
Re: Walking the plank
I don't particularly like the design. I think it would have looked better if it was cleaner. I do LOVE that you used a non-'i' product though. GMV.
