Re: questionable table of elements
I was worried that this hadn't been posted yet. My it sail up to the fog!
Re: questionable table of elements
Thanks for all the pre-derby comments and notes!
Re: questionable table of elements
this is great
Re: questionable table of elements
Looks like I'll have to vote and buy since I'm a questionable element.
Re: questionable table of elements
Love the cat under the "table".
Re: questionable table of elements
Beware the silliness? No, love the silliness! GMV.
:^)
Re: questionable table of elements
The silliness is fine, I just think it's too small to enjoy on a shirt design.
I don't want people 6" away from my chest staring at it for half an hour so they can get a giggle.
Nice illo.

Re: questionable table of elements
very silly and fun! the style reminds me of Where's Waldo.
I voted on it as a shirt, and I hope you don't mind, but it's going to be my background picture at work too!
Re: questionable table of elements
This shirt. I must possess it. Clear winner in my book.
Re: questionable table of elements
I can haz this? So everyone else looks at the table of elements and sees nonsense words too?? I'm so happy

Re: questionable table of elements

Go right ahead. I might do the same.
Re: questionable table of elements
Love the cartoony and simple style! I'm totally gonna go OCD now and read every name for each element!

Let me know if any don't make sense.
Re: questionable table of elements
Would make a nice print!
Re: questionable table of elements

I really enjoy it! Great work!

I get most but these I'm having trouble with:
8- O Hai is this the slang for hello?
34- Se Essie
45- Rh CP red hot chili peppers?
47- Ag AGGRO
57- La Ti Do
66- Dy MONSTER
77- Ir me. Uru i are me? not i am me?
78- Pt SPIT
81- Ti DR
108- Hs BOOO!
114- Uuq o ok
Sorry for being so dense.

In the FOG!

My interpretations:
8 - It's a cutesie misspelling of "Oh, hi." Do a Google image search, and you'll find lots of pictures of cats demonstrating its usage.
34 - I think this is just a phonetic spelling out of the letters.
45 - You got it.
47 - A term from online multi-player games, alerting one's group that one is being attacked or is about to initiate an encounter.
57 - Preceded by "Do Re Mi Fa So".
66 - "Die, monster!" I think.
77 - I think we're back to cutesie kittens here, but I'm not sure.
78 - There may not be anything to get here; it could just be that "Pt" brought to mind "SPIT". Or I'm not getting it either. I kind of wish he'd gone with "Pt BARNUM", personally.
81 - It's actually "Tl DR", more internet slang, a favorite of the growing ranks of the functionally illiterate: "Too long; didn't read."
108 - I.e., "Hiss! Boo!"
114 - I'm lost on this one, too. Could maybe be Dutch, or imitating "ook-ook" ape noises, or a reference to the bit character Ook-Ook from The Venture Bros.
Re: questionable table of elements
my question is: 112 visit ?

My interpretation of 77 is that Pt is like the raspberry sound, which usually results in spitting!

Awesome. Thanks for taking the time.
Pt BARNUM would be an awesome choice too. Most people have at least heard of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
m5rammy wrote:my question is: 112 visit ?
Visit CN Tower is giving you problems, eh! It's a joke a-boot a structure in Toronto
[Toronto is one of my favorite cities, but it was easier to get there when I lived in PA.]
Re: questionable table of elements
Of course I had to vote for this because I read the whole thing and it made me laugh several times, which prompted the other 4 people in the room to read the whole thing and also laugh.

Wow! Thanks for doing the heavy lifting! I was about to update the picture on flickr with dozens of notes, but this is better.
Re: questionable table of elements
There is SO much crap in the fog right now. This is the single exception, and you gladly have my vote support!
Re: questionable table of elements
Hilarious! ![]()
Re: questionable table of elements
I've seen a "periodic table" table shirt with a cat under it before, but this one is such a different style that I don't think it matters.

GMV, BTW.

GMV, BTW.
It's too bad there's not a D'oh! element nearby on the table.
Re: questionable table of elements
This shirt MUST win so I can get one for my brother. I showed him the image and he laughed at it for probably 15 minutes.
ApeLad wrote:It's too bad there's not a D'oh! element nearby on the table.
Nope, though (Ba)rium could've been Bart.
Re: questionable table of elements
if it wasn't for the cat I would definitely have wanted this.
So is this shirt not for sale any more? Or will it come back at some point? I'm bummed if it's gone, it's hilarious.
Re: questionable table of elements
Please bring this shirt back for sale!
