This is where interested parties can go to learn about night.
6 colors (with a few half tones thrown in) on navy.

Re: Night School
Yeah right, Batman has nothing to learn there.. HE IS THE NIGHT!!!
Re: Night School
This is great!
Re: Night School
can we really have trademark characters like batman on our entries?
Re: Night School
Ha!! This is fantastic, Robbie. +1
Re: Night School
i like this but it looks like the chair is going through the racoons tail. not sure if this is a goof or if i am looking at it wrong.
Re: Night School
This is awesome! GMV
Re: Night School
Nothing like a slice of awesome in the morning...
This is a winner!
Re: Night School
Love Batman's pen
Very clever.

Good observation...
Although I remember always getting restless in my chair at school, and getting fidgety until my legs and arms were sticking through the frame in the oddest ways.
Of course, only until Mr. Mailey told me to sit straight with both feet on the floor.
Anyway, got my vote!

I can't unsee that now. But I do like the dead rat on the owl teacher's desk.

Oh man! Good catch. I made the backs of the chairs separate layers so I could draw all the desks and then the characters separately (for rearrangement purposes). I'll fix the print-ready in case it prints. Thanks for the tip.

your welcome i sort of figured thats what might have happened. i have done similar things before as well. i hope if its does place in the top 3 they will let you make the correction. might help with sales. very cool design though. please dont think i was trying to be a jerk about it i just thought it might have been something that was overlooked. good luck
Re: Night School
Who's the red/green guy on the front row? And I hadn't noticed the rat on the desk... that is a nice touch.
MarianDallas wrote:Who's the red/green guy on the front row? And I hadn't noticed the rat on the desk... that is a nice touch.
The red-green is supposed to be the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) I think?
Re: Night School
The raccoon ... with coffee. That's a first, I think.
GMV, and an auto-buy if it prints.
Re: Night School
Nice art but the shape of the drawing space is a bit unflattering on a tshirt, Wider and rounder as you go south?
Re: Night School
The moon its a picture so you may resub with a draw version before gets rejected
kt90 wrote:The moon its a picture so you may resub with a draw version before gets rejected
That isn't a picture.

Re: Night School
LMAO @ Batman. Great little details.. would love this as a poster or better yet, bookcover for HS aged daughter (batman lover). As a Tee I doubt she'll wear it
Hope it prints anyway!
ryanbleth wrote:The red-green is supposed to be the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) I think?
Yeah its why I love this shirt. Very clever.
Re: Night School
<3 this! I would def buy this for my husband who is taking night classes- GMV!
Re: Night School
Fun design, but I'm not sure if the appendages on the moon are really necessary. Took me a while to notice them and now I find it distracting. Don't feel like the other objects are anthropomorphized in the same manner. I would even go so far as to say that the image would be funnier without the arm and legs on the moon.
ryanbleth wrote:The red-green is supposed to be the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) I think?
Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within a classroom?
manikx66 wrote:i like this but it looks like the chair is going through the racoons tail. not sure if this is a goof or if i am looking at it wrong.
I agree but in defense of the artist maybe the racoons tail is sooooooo fluffy it wraps itself around the chair. haha =]

It doesn't bother you that the moon is inside a classroom?
Earlysong wrote:It doesn't bother you that the moon is inside a classroom?
It doesn't bother you that the lightning bugs are collaborating (aka cheating)?
Re: Night School
I'm not a fan of this shirt. It feels too messy and jumbled. I don't think the moon in the room makes any sense what so ever, the chair going through the raccoon's tail is bothering me so much. I like the idea, but I felt the final product is unsatisfying.

How is Mr. Moon going to walk around and write notes if he doesn't have arms and legs? How about Mr. Sun ... how is he going to clock out for the evening when his day is done?
There are plenty of "serious" shirts out there. And then, there's woot. Foods horrified that their own is being eaten? Penguins piloting a giant robot? Carnivorous bunnies? Ninjas on fire? Yeah, I'll take the obscure, silly, nonsensical, whimsical, and even the artistic here instead, TYVM.

I second the motion. I figure folks who've been around Woot long enough to figure out the Woot style, don't like that style, but still hang out to write lots of negative posts just need an outlet for their general crabbiness.

Whoa man, simmer down. I wasn't trying to make a critique of shirt.woot in all of it's entirety, just an aspect of this particular shirt which I like in general. The appendages on the moon didn't seem to fit with other parts of the design like the aurora borealis. Mainly I think it would just be funnier without them in this case. The artist was already talking about modifying the print file to fix the racoon's tail, so I figured I should speak up now in case he or she agreed.

No, I didn't have a quote for that.

Cannot be unseen.
Also, I love the BatPen.
gdvorak wrote:No, I didn't have a quote for that.
Oh man. At first I thought gdvorak was incredibly uptight and drippy, but now I see that he or she totally rocks, and was simply making an elite level Simpsons reference.
ALSO big thanks for all the comments and to those that voted!

Two twenty is an odd time. To me it says morning or mid afternoon.

Ahahaha!
Love me a good Simpson's reference. Well done!
