Re: The Rainguard
I really dislike the curved cutout, but I really dig the style.

Re: The Rainguard
The curve at the bottom bothers me (I'm more a fan of abstract/jaggedy bottoms that fade out) but everything else about this shirt is beautiful!

I'm with the others. Your style is so promising, from all the work I recall seeing of yours. this is simply lovely, but the shape/cut-off makes it a difficult "wear".

Beautiful color, texture, idea... but I will agree that the rounded bottom would hit unflatteringly on some folks. But it's not going to detract from my vote. Lovely.

I'm going to be the black sheep here and tell you that I love this design even with the rounded bottom. ![]()

Re: The Rainguard
Really nice. I guess I'm seeing it different because from a distance, it looks like a circle/globe with the umbrella being the top. The bottom doesn't bother me so much because of this.

Re: The Rainguard
The space needle looks great. Good choice of color splash.
I'll be in for one!

I want this right now. Awesome. Granted, in Seattle, you're kind of weak if you use an umbrella, but this would be a good way to keep everyone dry and still cool. :-p

This is hands down my favorite entry in the derby. Your color choices are great, the textures are great and I like the subtle Art Nouveau line work on the space needle.

I would buy this shirt in a second if it wasn't for the curved bottom. With it, i'll have to think about it some.

Re: The Rainguard
I do see the globular feeling of the rounded bottom with the umbrella but I don’t think it really works to your advantage on this design. I agree that a fade-out bottom would give a more ethereal quality and reiterate the storm/rain at the top, making it more aesthetically pleasing. In other words, it would be way cooler with a jaggedy bottom

Haha this is also true. I feel like this shirt does depict the Pacific NW rather well, but if you use an umbrella you basically are saying you are not from around there.

Re: The Rainguard
I LOVE THIS. I'm moving to Seattle/Bellevue at the end of the year and therefore need this shirt to print. And I *will* be one of those obvious outsiders proudly using an umbrella.
Also, I like the rounded bottom; reminds me of a raindrop. ![]()
