Re: Swedish Chef
Very nice. He looks a lot more wrinkled here than he did in the sketch though...

Re: Swedish Chef
Here's a little something for all my fellow Muppet lovers. Hope you enjoy. Here's where you can see the large file.
Re: Swedish Chef
Kind of creepy design. All that extra skin makes it look like he's got someone else's face pulled over his head. Still gets a vote though.
Re: Swedish Chef
Drew, you do good work, but I've noticed that you tend to overwork human faces. This is cleaner than your prior entries, but still overdone.
Needs more brow and stach, fewer facial lines.

Hrm...not sure why gourd butkus isn't posting for me.

I admit that I went a little ink happy. Just got to work on reigning in the detail. Thanks for the feedback everyone ![]()
Re: Swedish Chef
I think that would freak out every kid I know.
Re: Swedish Chef
Yeah I don't think that by anyone else would get that it is a reference to the muppets due to the overworked face

Okay, I understand the confusion here... This is a parody of the Muppet not because it's supposed to represent the physical puppet (other than the presence of his nonsensical catchphrase), but because it's an actual Swedish chef, hence the Swedish meatball, flag, flag themed clothing, and the pale skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes. If I wanted it to look like the puppet, I would have done that, but if that was the case, I would have just done Link, since he seems to be more popular in the kitchen than Rachel Ray handing out $100 bills.

You say that like it is a bad thing.
Re: Swedish Chef
I have to agree with the others - the sketch was far nicer. This one got away from you. ![]()
Re: Swedish Chef
I agree with the other comments of a little too much black line inking (I've noticed that in your other drawings too), but I think this is a nice piece none the less. Just let the colors suggest details with shadows and highlights, you pencil sketches are very nice too
+1
Re: Swedish Chef
I'm slightly scared yet still amused, all the years of watching the Muppets, I have never imagined what he'd look like non-puppetfied.
