Re: Kookaburra In The Old Gum Tree

Inspired by the grade school song many know from growing up.

here's a link to a large jpeg of the design if you want to see the halftones and detail.

Thanks in advance and feel free to share online with friends and family.

laugh! kookaburra, laugh!

now that song will be stuck in my head all day, and I'm okay with that.

GMV, but would love to see one with a darker colour scheme? I'm just not sure how well the faded tones would show up + allow the design to be clearly visible from any kind of distance.

Wow!! I was going to do this exact same thing! I even sketched it out and everything. Only difference is that mine had gumballs growing on the tree. I didn't like mine and you executed the idea much better

Love his devious expression and as usual, your color scheme - very wearable!

similar in that there's a bird blowing a bubble, but apart from that not so much. Thanks for sharing though.

I like this but it needs to contrast more. I can't hardly see it.

You know your shirt is like completely friggin' invisible right

From more than a few feet away people will just think you're wearing a flesh-colored shirt

After a few washings people will think that even if they're pressed right up against you

I wouldn't say invisible but its supposed to be subtle and was the intention with the soft colors for a wearable design.

why does shirt.what say this design has been removed? I find that a bit counter productive if someone was wanting to vote for my or others designs via that site. I know their not affilliated with woot but it has been a source for many artists and voters here at woot. So anybody know what the deal may be?

well I guess that was corrected by them. I wonder how long that was like that?

No one has a copyright on the concept of gum-chewing birds. At least this one resembles a kookaburra, and not a chickadee.
I like - soft and subtle.
