This is pretty adorable. And even though I'm neither a phone connoisseur nor a Star Wars person, you definitely captured the spirit of the theme. :> Veeery cute.

I sure hope this wins. My favorite entry. I don't have a Star Wars shirt despite being a huge Star Wars nut, but this passes my extremely high bar of standards for Star Wars t-shirt designs.

LOL man this derby is going to kill me and my wallet. This is so cute. I really like how the little guys carrying the droid are cartooned.

This really does capture the spirit of the derby perfectly. Love it.

It's probably too late now, but I have to say, the text forces the joke way too hard. It would be absolutely genius without it.

I agree. I only looked at the thumbnail and laughed and smiled. I saw the text and it kind of ruined it (for me, anyway).

Pay attention to android phone commercials on TV. In fine print at the end it says "Droid is a registered trademark of Lucasfilm".

This T-Shirt reminded me of that.

Maybe if you changed the text to something mocking the Android like "faulty Droid", "Broken Droid", "Slow Droid" etc. the parody would be more apparent. And perhaps you could put x's for eyes, or maybe have a panel popped open on the droid showing internal circuitry.

"After much back and forth" is one thing, but this was the *very first* entry posted in this derby, and it took them *this* long to reject it (and therefore give the re-sub enough time to regain the votes)?! Not cool, woot; not cool!

Thanks for your commiserations and suggestions, guys.

I've given it another try: Wrong Droid 2.0

The main issue seems to be the likeness to Andy Android, so I've changed that up. I can't make it any clearer that I'm parodying the Android/Lucsasfilm connection and how Jawas capture and trade droids, so I haven't altered the concept. The scene of R2D2 being shocked and taken back to the sandcrawler must be familiar to any SW fan (for the awesome sound effects alone!).
