Re: Waiting for Motivation
While I'm waiting to get motivated, I can doodle a bit. Don't try to look for any meaning in the doodles -- just random scribbles.

I'm pretty sure a shrink would argue with that.
Terrific idea!

I love it... now that we have the link... care to interpret the meaning ;)
Re: Waiting for Motivation
All my notebooks look like this. LOL.

Re: Waiting for Motivation
Really take me back to my college note-taking days...
Re: Waiting for Motivation
I HAVE to have this shirt! I've doodled through the last four years of college and made so many notebook pages look like this.
Very cool thatrobert!
lol also my brother just showed me this website where you can upload your doodles and have them fight other people's doodles--its so cool

Re: Waiting for Motivation
I'm sorry, but this has nothing to do with the theme. If someone saw it randomly on the street, "motivation" would be the last thing that would come to their mind. Don't get me wrong, I think it looks cool, but as you yourself said, it's "just random scribbles".
Re: Waiting for Motivation
Some of my papers at work come with doodles like this. Got my vote.

From the derby requirements:
Give us your take on motivation: what it takes to work it up, what you're motivated to accomplish in the new year, or what to do when faced with a complete lack of motivation entirely.
This seems to easily fall into the last part of the sentence - and possibly the first - well within the derby requirements and theme.
It also motivates me to make better doodles during meetings :-)

Re: Waiting for Motivation
There should be a phone doodle woot derby. Love this shirt.

Re: Waiting for Motivation
So, is anyone else thinking this kinda looks like a maze? I look at the design (awesome by the way) and I see "maze from hell."
Re: Waiting for Motivation
Thanks all for the nice comments and keeping this in the fog over the weekend. BTW, it doesn't work as a maze -- I'm pretty sure it'd actually be too easy since there is plenty of gaps.

I'd have to agree here. While I think it's cool, the only connection it has with "Motivation" is that there's "No motivation"... Which is kind of not "Motivation".
Nice design though, although I wonder a bit how it would look on a shirt for every wear.

Which is kind of not "Motivation".As mentioned above, I think this fits very nicely in Woot's specification of "what to do when faced with a complete lack of motivation entirely." Up here in Oregon it's a bit chilly for a t-shirt most of the year so I think it will look great with an open plaid button-up.
Nice design though, although I wonder a bit how it would look on a shirt for every wear.
I'd like this shirt more if it was a maze.
But as just a doodle it doesn't really hit me.
Or maybe if it was in a corner/edges and the middle was taken up by something boring. History, probably.
(I'd say math, but math is far more interesting)

Yeah, when I saw it my first though was. "Good Lord, how long would it take to run that Dungeon?"

Re: Waiting for Motivation
As someone who has filled notebook after notebook with similar creations, I had no problem whatsoever figuring out what this shirt had to do with motivation. A terrific job!
GENIUS!
Re: Waiting for Motivation
Absolutely love this, Robert!!! This must print!
Re: Waiting for Motivation
A++++ WOULD VOTE FOR AGAIN!!

Shame! Oh well.
Can't win 'em all, eh?
