This was an idea my fiance had. As soon as he said it, I had to try it. I havent been this jazzed to do a derby in a long time, so Im really happy to get something up! :3

Ha, great character and expression!

I laughed out loud, could not stop, and then started choking from laughter. My husband awoke, furrowed his brow, and asked if I had a hairball. I almost had to change the sheets after that. Guess I should not browse The Derby in bed. Lesson learned.

I'm not sure if this is intentional or not, but I can always tell your derby entries by the white border around the thumbnail image. It'll be interesting to see whether the rejectionator considers that to be "extra detail" in the preview image, the same as text is.

I took the text and other things off my comp images, but I keep forgetting the border bits. My eyes dont register them since they've been on my stuff for so long. I'll get rid of them in my file so they wont show up again.

It's easy to forget that kind of stuff, especially when you have a template set up.

Considering last week's first place shirt had gradients in the thumbnail and survived, I think woot will let this go I really don't think it's giving you any sort of unfair advantage, I didn't even see it at all until it was pointed out, and even now can barely make it out. I'm counting on this to win, so it better survive :P

These are the comps I've been using since my very first submission to Woot. I made the thumb to match the comp image, which has the 1 pxl border. Just old art school habits. "Put a border on everything, blaah!" :P I've cleaned up my psds to no longer have the border baked in. Hopefully Puss can survive, but I understand rules are rules. m(-_-)m

I didnt even notice the gradient in the Pluto thumb from last week, but there it is @_@. I think my eyeballs are just turning into poached egg yolks. Too many years of the pixels! #_#

Bass I love this though, I gotta admit when I first looked at it I saw puss sitting inside some headphones. It took a second to recognize what they were (and I had been watching parking wars when I was looking at it too :S ).

I still only see headphones, and I've been staring for three days trying to figure it out, as well as Googling for other meanings of boot. Clue in the clueless?

Sorry the boot is confusing for some. They're really odd looking apparatuses. I googled a lot of them and they come in many different looks. I think, though, that I made a mistake on the front of the one here. I had drawn into the sketch some of the front pieces, but I decided to leave them off for fear it would be even more confusing. ^^;

Here's the picture I used for reference.



As you can see here, there's some black pegs in the front and some smaller yellow bits underneath the bar. I had initially drawn them, but I wasnt sure if it helped or distracted, so I left them off. :\ Sorry if I missed the mark for some. I will revisit the image if it doesnt print and try to make the boot more 'booty'. Truthfully, I would have loved to be able to put the title underneath him. ^_^

Also, for fun, you can google 'tire boot' to see all the different types of boots there are. I had a hard time picking one that would look the best @_@;.

Awww..... really wanted this to print!! Hopefully it will get an Honorable Mention (such an original idea and darn cute expression)and will print in a Double Take. If not, please let us know if it prints elsewhere. Love it!

Hoping this one eventually gets printed. My roommate and I LOLed when we saw it!
