This shirt made me cry a little.

As far as the 'meaning'... SPOILER ALERT:

Everyone is correct that this is a Potter reference. Snape loves Harry's mom Lily so much, even 17 years after her death, that his patronus is a Doe (which was her patronus). Also, he loves her so much that he is willing to go against Voldemort just because he kills Lily.

Brilliant! One would not realize exactly what this shirt means unless they were a hc hp fan like myself. Snape is my homeboy! You got my vote!

IDK about you but the first thing I thought of was ALWAYS tampons cause they always have tv commercials. I get the HP reference but I have a feeling people are going to think I'm wearing a shirt for tampons.

I looked at this shirt, teared up, then felt silly. But then I felt better once I saw others had the same reaction. It says a great deal when a simple t-shirt design can have such an emotional reaction with people.

Such an achingly beautiful design. This simply MUST print!

It looks to me like the word is joined to the doe and is part of the patronus, so I would consider it to be within the rules. It's just more legible than some of the other entries.

I keep coming back to make sure this submission is still in the fog. I know it is early in the voting process but I have never wanted a derby entry to print more than this one!

This is amazing. This design brought tears to my eyes. Snape is one of my favorite characters and that was my favorite part of the last book. Thank you, and I hope this prints.

From a distance, totally a pad ad tee.
If you need to explain the significance, then is it really a good design?
The font looks like a text, but what's worse is the location of the fawn, it just looks slapped in there. The fluidity of the letters could have swirled back around to continue the image with the fawn. Instead it's just clumsily slapped in there.

Well, I agree that maybe the fawn could have been incorporated in a way to be more fluid with the word--maybe like the patronus ethereally flying around the way they are summoned. Nonetheless, I think it's an outstanding shirt because of the concept, and the word isn't just "object" made out of said object, and it's still attractive.

There are plenty of shirts being sold that I personally never understood the reference to (El Guapo, Inevitable Betrayal, the Skyrim one), but that doesn't make them bad shirts. If absolutely everyone had to get the reference, we'd literally have nothing but Nintendo/Star Wars shirts being sold. Potter fans will instantly recognize and appreciate this one.

Yeah, this made me tear up a bit. Alan Rickman managed to put more feeling into that one word than some actors could in an entire speech.

The best yet.. Not just because of the meaning, but because you do not need a second color or any thing else to this design.. Otheres seem to be forcing there design to fit the theme, your just works. Nice Job

This is beautiful. I don't see how anyone could see anything other than Harry Potter in the design.

in the fog is a good thing. those are the nine highest rated shirts. they don't show you the number of votes so no one knows until friday, saturday and sunday which of the nine shirts will be printed.

I've never commented on a shirt design before, but I am absolutely in love with Severus Snape and think he is the true hero in Harry Potter. I want this shirt SO badly. PLEASE PRINT IT WOOT! I got raging goosebumps after seeing this and teared up a bit. How sad is that? xD I love it!!

Ok and when you say that you should tell everyone why you think it isn't on theme. The rejectionator doesn't listen to vague comments.

I think it's on theme because the word is formed out of the trailing tail of the patronus. That's what I see. If someone didn't know the reference I can see why they might think it was off topic but I'm sure the fine nerds at shirt.woot! get it... Which explains why it's Thursday and this shirt is still here. THANK YOU shirt.woot! NERDS!!!

In the list, when all you can see is the doe, I thought it was Bambi. Obviously, once I saw the full image, I knew what it was.
