An homage to the very brave men and women who sat at lunch counters in United States and helped raise the consciousness of a nation.

Re: Sit-In

I like the colors you chose and how you use them. If this does not place 1st, 2nd or 3rd, I hope those video game playing, bacon eating shirt.woot guys print it anyway. :-)

Re: Sit-In

I was hoping the rest of the cats would be white. I think the allusion would be clearer that way.

I was a child in those times and remember sit-ins in my small Southern town.  Very brave people broke the color line.  I remember White Only water fountains and public restrooms. We have come a long way in my lifetime, but we have not come far enough.
Vote for this shirt if you believe that wearing a hoodie is not a crime.

and yes, you really caught the style of the times with its cool cats

I really did consider it, and even recolored the middle cat at one point. It didn't have the same effect, and when I went back and looked at some of the more famous event photographs I had to keep the cats all black.

Maybe they'll print it ON a hoodie! Perfect!

I just went to the Civil Rights Museum in Memphis two weeks ago. Wish I could have stayed another two hours. You got it right.
