So, if it's rejected in a prior derby, you don't have to alter it to resub? Only if it stays in the derby?

The rips look good but the fox looks flat, like a sticker put over the large tear to keep it closed.

He has changed it, albiet slightly. The top and bottom rips have been rotated relative to the central rip to avoid looking like a Z, and earning a second text rejection.

Also, that one is dated June 24, 2011, which is well over the 6 month window, which I don't know applies to rejected, or if that's just HMed.

Finally, I gotta go with amroyo here:

The Fox isn't On-topic, but the rips are. In the end I didn't flag this one as a rejectionator piece, but it was on the fence because of the unshaded, 2D, hardly any shadow, cartoon fox.

This one was rejected/removed, so I guess it's still viable considering you can sell a rejected/removed entry elsewhere without 60 day hold.

Ouch Head hurts...
Re-read the legal, and here's what it says:
Artist grants Woot " 60-day exclusive right to review and consider the Artwork. During this 60-day period, Artist shall not use the Artwork in any manner or submit the Artwork to anyone else to be used in any manner." Neither rejection nor removal void this period. This period extends to 180 days if you get an Honorable mention, and forever if printed. Should the shirt print the "Artist shall not use the Artwork in any manner" excepting portfolio pieces.

I've been down that path, but precedent supercedes T&C, and there has been precedent. Neither case is relevant to this entry, so moot.

True, moot.

So how about that FULLY FUNCTIONAL Portal Shirt. Think we could get Woot to release these?

Re: El Zorro

i like the concept, but the weird thing about it is that it looks like the tears reveal darkness rather than skin. and the problem with that is that you can't use any skin tone cuz then it'd be prejudiced against whatever color it isn't

Re: El Zorro

I don't understand why it is in the fog, especially compared to other excellent designs.

To me it's barely on topic, I think the presence of the fox ruins the trompe-l'œil effect.

Oh dear. I think you uploaded the wrong file. This derby is for realistic pictures that look like optical illusions, not cute kittens playing dress-up.

If it's Zorro themed, shouldn't the tears in the back spell something out?

Re: El Zorro

It is a horribly placed design that literally looks like someone pasted some clip art (albeit good clip art)on top of a background. It is incredibly lazy and it gets boosted into the fog because it has a fox dressed as Zorro.

I am not saying there isn't a place for this, but man can woot! just make separate section for RAMYB and sell whatever he makes so that other entries can stand a chance.

My thoughts exactly. The vanishing point for the fox is completely different than the vanishing point for the slashes and it ends up making the fox look like a plastic sticker. I'm sure ramy will argue that was the point, but we all know it wasn't and it ruins any effect there was to begin with.

It's still just another typical Ramy barely-on-topic shirt.

Agree. Its pretty obvious the artist was simply lazy on this and wanted to resub something that got rejected before. Unfortunate.

Boy, that stiff wind blowing his scarf and bandana doesn't seem to be affecting the torn shirt fabric, does it?

This made me lol. Also, He is out of the fog, there appears to be some justice in the world. Let us pray that his hordes don't drive in and boost him up again.

this aaalmost got my vote, but the fox is indeed a bit flat. If he was turned just a bit more forward he might project a bit more. Then I'd be for it. ^^

No offense to the designer, but this is not the best use of the theme... Hate to see this getting more votes than designs that are more on theme and more creative.

I think it's adorable - though admittedly I'd embrace any excuse to snap up a shirt with an adorable Zorro-fox on it.

But would you say "Look how realistic the fox looks? Doesn't it look like it's jumping out of my shirt?"

Or

"I feel like such a anxious one, I left my shirt over the back of the chair last night, and when I got up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night I saw it and thought there was a fox in my bedroom."

I'm not saying "this is a bad shirt" this is an AWESOME SHIRT. It proves, once more, that there's a reason RamyB could sell t-shirts to eskimos. But I will say "OFF TOPIC." because it's also that, and they're not mutually exclusive.
