Re: As You Wish
Aren't you glad I didn't do "My name is Inigo Montoya"
Late late entry, but I had started it and needed to finish it. Hope you enjoy

Re: As You Wish
Totally awesome! Glad you finished it. I could do without the Latin ROUS translation on the top - distracts a bit from the rest. "As you wish" is an absolutely perfect banner text. Good luck!
Re: As You Wish
Ah man, i'd so buy this if it won. Pity it was probably submitted too late
Re: As You Wish
Got my vote!!
Inconceivable! I Love It! +1
Re: As You Wish
In the name of wanting a strong design to be stronger, the Latin should read Mures Magnitudinis Inusitatae.
Re: As You Wish
Wow I hope this grows some wings and moves up fast cause I needs it!!!

The ablative case is fine, just make sure the noun and adjective agree (magnitudo is feminine, so it should read "Mures Inusitata Magnitudine, not inusitato). Total instabuy if you win - best of luck!

I know nothing about Latin, but I think it might look better without any Latin at all.
Great design! I know several people who would definitely want this shirt.

I blame Google translate and our school system as a whole for not better instructing us in dead languages, but mostly Google
If a couple people can agree on the correct Latin I can send in a revised file as I haven't emailed it yet due to how late and tired I was last night when I sub'd it.
Thanks for all the support so far everybody. I think I may have a chance at third at least seeing how low the voting is on this derby so far and the low vote trend in general as of late.

It's certainly got wings on it.
Last couple of Derbies your Print - Fog numbers have been
259 -- 497 - 375
258 -- 456 - 350
257 -- 528 - 465
256 -- 578 - 472
255 -- 575 - 547
So if you can keep this up until Thursday you have a chance.

I'm not sure which is more appropriate - genitive of description (Mures Inusitatae Magnitudinis) or ablative of description (Mures Inusitata Magnitudine). Word order doesn't really matter, so take your pick I guess. Without a verb, I get confused. Can someone else weigh in?

I think I'm going with "Mures Inusitata Magnitudine". Thanks for the help guys, and to everyone else thanks for the quick mass of votes. Keep it up ![]()

Eh, Posums they're just big rats
Plus technically these are ROUS's.... ROUSi..... ROUSes.... er large rodents
tjost wrote:.... er large rodents
Unusually large even.
bounty42 wrote:I thought those were 'Possums?
RATS OF UNUSUAL SIZE you heathen! I banish you to the bog of eternal stench for your blatant lack of "smartitude"

Yay rats!!! <:3()~~~~~
Re: As You Wish
wow...thats rather amazing. And i was just planning on going to see this at a theater that shows older movies. Nice design!
I like it... subtle enough to evoke some discussion and muted colors, which I would actually wear (imo too many designs in the derby are too bright or complex).
I agree with those who say it would probably be better without the wording at the top. Aside from maybe just being a little more clutter than it needs, I learned long ago to just avoid latin in general unless you're prepared to get into arguments over latin grammar rules.
Re: As You Wish
I hadn't checked on the derby in a couple days, but now I'm really glad I did. You definitely have my vote on this one, and I personally like the Latin text. Since many actual crests have similar text, I think it fits well with the theme. Well done.
Re: As You Wish
This is quite possibly my absolute favorite out of all the designs submitted (perhaps second to my own. Or my own second to this. I'm not sure). This is total genius! :D
I sincerely hope it becomes one of the winners, because I'm going to buy one as soon as it's made.
(Additionally: I'm glad it at least made it to the Fog of War, rather than being trapped in the Pits of Despair!)
Re: As You Wish
I already have two PB-themed woot shirts... and yet I am utterly helpless in the face of this one as well. GMV.

It's awesome! I hope it wins, because I want one.
Re: As You Wish
This has to be the latest entry win I have ever seen. I'm going to assume you won.
