Appears that way to me too. The zebra eats the lion, the lion eats the grass, and the grass eats the zebra. Yikes!

It depends how you interpret it. If the arrows represent transfer of mass, it's correct. Grass goes into zebra; zebra goes into lion; lion goes into grass.
Re: Re-Circle Of Life
Think of it this way. The zebra goes into the lion. The lion goes into the grass. The grass goes into the zebra.

I think that even if the arrows are in the right direction, this concept doesn't make sense. Either way you'd have the grass eating the lion or the zebra.

Grass eating the lion sort of makes sense? To quote The Lion King, "When we die, our bodies become the grass." It's a nicer way to phrase decomposition.

The Lion King, anyone?
Mufasa: Everything you see exists together in a delicate balance. As king, you need to understand that balance and respect all the creatures, from the crawling ant to the leaping antelope.
Young Simba: But, Dad, don't we eat the antelope?
Mufasa: Yes, Simba, but let me explain. When we die, our bodies become the grass, and the antelope eat the grass. And so we are all connnected in the great Circle of Life.

I think this would make sense if this was 4 or 5 steps. But as 3 steps, I don't think it makes sense.
Re: Re-Circle Of Life
My initial response before I even read any comments was "shouldn't it be an antelope?" I like it, and I would definitely wear it, but I'd prefer an antelope to make the reference clear to everyone who knows it ![]()
Welp. I get it. Antelope or no antelope. +1
Re: Re-Circle Of Life
great idea but I think the little lion in the corner is off the printing area. you better check that
Re: Re-Circle Of Life
Is 'thing in the bottom corner' the new trend? I saw a popular design last week do this, too.
Re: Re-Circle Of Life
When I saw the thumbnail, I thought this was from another artist ...

Yep, my first thought was "should've been an antelope..."
Re: Re-Circle Of Life
Should be an antelope.
Re: Re-Circle Of Life
autotrophs fix the suns energy into the system
heterotrophs (herbivores, carnivores and omnivores)survive from the transfer of energy from the autotrophs by consuming them directly or indirectly
eventually the heterotrophs die and return nutrients needed to keep the cycle (circle) of energy (life) going
Re: Re-Circle Of Life
Does anyone know how I can get in contact with the artist of this shirt?
- I couldn't find a way to PM him from the page with his design on it.
