Re: Battle of the GODS!
Thanks for the awesome help in the pre-derby thread. J5 suggested switching from creme to light blue, and that ended up looking pretty good, so big thanks there, too!

Re: Battle of the GODS!
Awww yeaaah.
That's the one.
Re: Battle of the GODS!
Why light blue?! I thought it was on tan! Still +1.

I like them both- maybe creme a bit more for this design since it ages it a bit more. But for whatever reason it's such an unpopular color to actually wear as a tee, so I'll go with the light blue for this one.
It was a game time decision, so I might put creme in the mix after I look at it with a fresh pair of eyes later...
Thx for the unconditional vote, though. ![]()

I'm buying either way.

The blue is harmonious with the scene, and sets the atmosphere as "in the moment"
The creme removes the immediacy and sets the tone as a rendering of an event on a disconnected medium.

As the artist, it's your vision.
p.s. your line work is to die.
Re: Battle of the GODS!
I have a very similar concept, but with a different approach.
Very nice!

Re: Battle of the GODS!
I'm OK with the distance here, looks like you seperated them a little more from your pre-derby close version. I do like them better a little farther apart, but having larger art is a bonus.
I also like it better on blue, makes the shirt color look more part of the design, like it could be the sky/sea behind them.

This. Is. So. Win.
I... need... this... shirt...
Re: Battle of the GODS!
Epiiic. This has got to print!
Re: Battle of the GODS!
This is just beyond well done. Wow!
Re: Battle of the GODS!
Hillarious. Love the fish.
Re: Battle of the GODS!
The light blue in my opinion is spot on. +1'd. Oh, and this is my first ever post. Yes, I think it's that good.
Re: Battle of the GODS!
Lots of good entries this week, but this one is too awesome for mere words so I won't even try.

Thank the gods. Creme is an abomination (in about 99% of cases). You did the right thing and it's balance the budgeting epic.
edit:
I also just went back and looked at the pre-derby thread and what I was thinking is that the big was too close and the small was too far away and that you should split the difference. It appears that's just what you did. Kudos.

I think it needs another fish somewhere under the 1 on the top
