You're an established designer. You don't need to ask silly questions. You also don't need 3 question marks and a sad face.

Sorry about your Probation.

I could tell this was yours before I saw your name, kls, this is so awesome, definitely has my vote. My only concern is whether or not it'll sell out before I can get to it next week.

Based on past shirts I have gotten, this is going to turn out horrible once it is actually printed...

of course you could...it's the same thing he submitted in the pattern derby. with an old man instead of a flower.

nice design
but it looks like it belongs on stationary instead of a t-shirt.

I have to agree with that, I've been following this neo-baroque design trend as of late (at least since build and the designers republic started using it), and that's a great quote.

"belongs on stationary"

There's just too much going on with this, not that it's terrible, it's definitely a show of technical skill being able to cram all of those decorative elements on the design, but that's exactly what makes it look like visual mush. I'd say bring out the old man some more, and get rid of at least half those twirling dangly leaf elements. I do like the dot strokes that go from small to large to small again, those are neat.

I think you all mean stationery and I'll take that as compliment. What's great about the derby is that you can view (and criticize) all different types of entries. I enjoy seeing something different and perhaps the voters will as well. I appreciate your comments.

I'm hiring you as my publicity agent. Thank you very much. Someone mentioned that they were nervous about how this might print. I don't agree. I was very careful not to use various shades of gray. I know that a few people have posted concerns about shades of gray printing. That's why I selected only one shade of gray and then black and white. The pantone gray color is mentioned in the description, so I think it would print fine.

Thank you all for your votes! I'm nervous about the 4th position and the uncertainty of where I stand. Haven't been in the hotness much today, but I've seen the lil' cardinal, Riff's and James' Penguin quite a bit. But, being in the fog with the veterans is an absolute thrill. So, thanks very much!

Re: Old Man Winter

I just bought my first woot tee and thought I'd look at the derby shirts as well. This is my absolute favorite. I will definitely purchase if it gets printed. I voted and I hope others do too. Looking forward to seeing more great designs.

I love WInter Wonderland too! But, I'm thrilled to have one in the fog. I'm very nervous that this is in 4th place and not going to get printed. So, tell your friends, family, colleagues. I think it's going to need some votes in order to increase it's chances.

Thank you for the vote! Every little bit helps!

Thank you all for the effort so far to keep this one in contention. It's going to be tough...not only to make it back in the fog, but to even attempt to reach 3rd position. Still trying to be optimistic however.

Thanks again to all who have voted. I really do appreciate the effort!

Aw shucks! Looks like this one will be out of the running this week. The others are in the hotness and gaining distance like wildfires. Congratulations to all the designers this week. I have a lot of personal favorites that I would love to see printed!

It was a thrill to get into Wangus' Woundup and it will make me strive harder for a win!

In case you are interested in something a little different, check out today's painting.

Thank you again for the votes.

G'night!
