Might be a little dark but for some reason that's what I thought of when I saw the theme. Mostly just inspired by the title of Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein. In case you want to see some detail here's a slightly bigger version.

It's easy enough to mimic the look of children's books. Instead, you've done a great job of evoking what it's like to become enveloped in an imagined world.
