Re: Leafy Buddha

Does the image look too small on the T-shirt?

I like the style a lot on this one! I think it's a tad crooked..

I can see why you would say that.
This was a nuisance to digitize and improve from the original paper cutting.
I doubt correcting the crookedness would increase the votes.
But thanks for the compliment!

You give so much feedback, it's only fair that someone reciprocate:

I really like this design, but right off the bat, I think you robbed yourself of some votes by using a thumbnail that doesn't tell the story.

I don't think asymmetry is problematic. the solidness of the color is more of an issue for me. It's a bit of a missed opportunity where you could have loaded the "positive space", and in this case I think even general foliage would fit the bill and give viewers a little more to be drawn in by / fall in love with.

I think maybe more saturated colors too, although that is more a matter of taste; I just think I'd like it a little more if the colors popped a bit more.

I really like the use of alternative media (cutouts), but you gotta know you're taking a chance when you do that. Anyway, lovely work overall, keep thinking outside the box!

Thanks for the feedback and compliments.
You bring up an interesting point: what to put in the thumbnail?
Sometimes I haven't clicked on a thumbnail because I felt it told the whole story and I wasn't interested.
I felt that the Buddha head didn't look right for the thumbnail, with no facial features.
I hoped the contrast between the bird in the thumbnail and the title would pique curiosity.
But I agree, I should have gone with something that "told the story."
This item has so few votes, I'm wondering if I should just resubmit with a Buddha head thumbnail and lose the votes that it already has.

I hate to tell you, but the best thing for you to do is just chalk this derby up to a loss and focus on collecting your energy for the thursday night hustle coming up later this week.

Generally speaking, I find that for those of us without a big fanbase, posting after Monday is almost completely pointless.

Don't feel too bad about low vote counts, we've all had them. Just come back stronger next time!

Thanks for the advice. Very good.
But I couldn't stay away. Did a resub anyway!
