I have to say I'm not a fan of the fact that if it's not breaking or about to break you are directed to add more duct tape. Following this you are asked if it's fixed, but you previously stated it wasn't broken, so I must assume I am to forever spend my life duct-taping that item?

Re: The Infallible Guide to Home Repair

There are two types of repairmen in the world: those who solve their problems with silicone, and those who favour duct tape.
Generally, when faced with a degrading repair, the automatic response is to add more of whatever is failing now. (The disciplines tend not to overlap).
Love this.

I dunno ... zip ties and drywall screws are just as universally useful as duct tape.

GMV, still.

Nice take on the duct tape and wd-40 meme. I really wanna like it, but infallible is making me antsy. Why not just say "perfect guide"?
