Yeah, I think this is going to hit the fog tonight. I love the use of a single color. Understated, but awesome.

Amazing. I have to keep coming back to look as this because I see something new each time. This embodies the theme precisely so beautifully.

I know what you mean. I've got several in this color and more on the way. I do hope that Woot adds a few new colors to their tshirt selection. I think the designers would have fun using different backgrounds.

Re: patriot wings

I like the look of the wings but the rest looks like the cover of a pamphlet from some government agency. You know your audience, this should do very well here.

Just for the record, I've really liked and voted for almost every one of your other designs.

i think this is the only one that has a chance at competing with "Watch it grow" (which has a big lead on the second place shirt....the bill of rights shirt)

Serious question: Can some of you explain to me WHY you think this particular design is so "amazing?" I like it...it's pretty cool just like everything james does, but I guess the gushing is a bit lost on me.

What about it are the many folks who've stated this is the most amazing shirt ever created so excited about?

And again, i'm not being critical, i'm asking for serious rationales for these comments. For me, although I like the idea, the drawing is too "sketchy" for me. like the faces on the lower left appear to be in draft form (you can see the vertical lines an artist might use as reference down the middle of a face)....it's almost like it was unfinished and james put it up to get it out there as early as possible. That may be an artistic choice, but personally, it detracts from the design for me.

No offense, but strikes me as a Harley Davidson Logo tee.. I suppose that lends to its "cool" factor...

I thought Harley Davidson, too, when I first saw it. People would have to study your chest for a while to see the detail. Otherwise, they're going to think you're all about the Harley love.

Luckily, AA's gray is such a nice shade. Although, I'm curious to know the color of the one shirt the designer has purchased since joining shirt.woot in July. Gray? Yellow? Cream? Do designers tend to produce designs on colors they, themselves, would wear?

This is exactly how I feel. Each time I find something different. I love that it's multi-layered (figuratively speaking). I also kind of dig the Harley Davidson/eagle wings/angel wings - almost like those rorschach tests - where what you see varies. I know when I keep coming back to look at a shirt that it's a shirt I love... art mixes perfectly with message here. Really hope I get to purchase one and love the color.

Darn u once again James, not only is it great as usual, but this time im extra jealous cause that was the concept i wanted to use... firemen, policemen, miltary, doctor, and statue of liberty... i been trying to figure out the best way to get them all in one pic. so much for that idea. looks like anotherone for Cho. good work

Personally, I love this design as well. As to why? Why do we like anything we like? jejeje. I love the sketchy quality of it, and the details and the angularness of the feathers.. and the powerful patriotic symbolisms. All in all, easily the best shirt of this contest, and one of the best I've seen on shirt.woot. I'll definitely be buying at least 1 when it wins (I'm confident that it will).
