dammit, that shirt people keep linking to on threadless is exponentially different than this one.

Yes. Because the threadless one is done well.

Every week, someone pulls out an idea that is extraordinarily similar to a shirt somewhere else, but because it's not identical, people whine and moan about people saying it's the same concept. There is nothing different about the threadless shirt except the specifics. It is still a big hole blown in someones stomach, it still shows something behind them as if the hole exists, it still has bones sticking out, and since the designer's past shirts have often been reminiscent of shirts elsewhere, I have a hard time believing he's never seen the one in question, especially since that exact threadless shirt was posted yesterday evening as a reference of "what you probably shouldn't do".

Same with the zapper shirt. It's not different just because it's done better, and if anything, the Zapper itself is just one more possible ground for rejection. You can love it for the sense of nostalgia it provides, but it is still a gun on a shirt to look like it's tucked in your pants. It's similar enough to be rejected.

What a whinny little post whore. Didn't you learn your lesson on the cupcake shirt? Just keep your mouth shut and let the people decide. If Woot feels it does not fit the Derby then they will reject it. I'm sure you are going to write some dissertation in response to this post, but unlike you I have a life so don't expect a response.

Yes, I did learn my lesson on the cupcake shirt... "stevgtguy is a particularly stubborn and foolish troll and should be ignored" wasn't a valid concern when I wrote that post, though.

"Shutting my mouth and letting the people decide" sounds fine. The people should simply know that they can already buy this shirt, and buy it better. The best voter is an informed voter, wouldn't you agree?

LOLOL! You're so cute. The only lesson we learned is that sometimes things don't work out. Oh Well

It does fit the derby, very nicely; the issue here is plagiarism. And I wasn't going to be bothered with it before, but thanks to you, the shiney tattle button is calling my name. So hopefully the cupcake shirt and this one will have something in common, they won't work out. Oh Well.

No response!? Awesome. Finally.

Man, you're way more forgiving than I. I've just been presuming them all to be the same person.

Yep, like the Arrrgyle shirt. Slightly different placement but still skulls and bones and even the same name. Yet woot deemed it okay. 'Tis not up to you or I, but the woot rejecamatron god. Since you posted in the thread you already know about that example but I wanted to post it here for everyone's reference.

Also for everyone's reference: I suspect that shirt wouldn't fly now. With the tattle system they're more likely to catch shirts that break the rules because they can have *everyone* looking. Changes things a bit. ^_^

Totally! Avoiding swear filters on woot, by calling me a name in a "clever" way. Honestly, I'm honored that I've shut him up enough to elicit such a response. Still, not honored enough to not point this out to Woot in the cute little report button they have going on.

If it is the same, why hasn't woot rejected it? I didn't think they could print shirts that had been printed on other sites? I'm sorta new to this derby buisness.

In fairness, though, it looks like the ideas are similar but the shirts are not the same (Though I do like the deer better than a wall. mmmmm. deeeeer.)

Both cool shirts!

Dude, I've seen tattoos based on this concept over twenty years ago, so it's not like it's some new idea.
