Re: EXTREME VOLLEYBALL DEATHMATCH
YES! I want this. My only complaint is that the volleyball looks more like a water polo ball. But that could just be because of coloring.
kushalm wrote:Kid - Let's be honest Grandma - there's no way Discos are the same as clubs. Grandma - yes, there is. Kid - No Grandma, clubs these days play hip hop music, people grind together, there's lasers and tequila shots...discos on the other hand, your discos had dance-offs, pop music, disco balls and John Travolta...discos are no more. Grandma - Damn you lil' kid...DISCO AINT DEAD!!
As least the lasers are consistent. Haha.
If anyone can point me to a good distressing brush set that's free for commercial use, I'll resubmit the design with some fake aging. Thanks to DaFont.com and the individuals who make their fonts available for free.
Re: My Retro Heart
sweet design
I love this one the best!
Re: You are not my type
I would have liked it more if the edges of the color bars went all the way to the edges of the t-shirt.
Re: Vinyl Sounds Better
My husband would agree 110% He is always telling me how his vinyl collection is sooo much better than my cd collection. I would have to get this for him!! GMV
Re: Vintage Zombie
Just wanted an excuse to use the phrase "bone jacked," which is a 70s phrase that means to steal the style of a dead person. XD Larger version is here: http://stargaziey.deviantart.com/art/Derby-136-Vintage-Zombie-155578402
Re: Rock and Roll
A perfect combo of old and new on SUCH a great color. A summer staple! PLEASE VOTE FOR THIS ONE!
Re: Mista Mista
Any shirt that has you listening to great new music deserves to win. Plus, Mr. Brightside is so different from what I would have imagined it to be, and still great.
osoleilmia wrote:Er, the first one I mean. Two rows seems to fit better than three rows. And the absent Mr. Nice Guy is a little jarring; the characters who are present are great by themselves!
I agree, the absence of Mr. Nice Guy makes the design look like an empty circle from far away. Keep the first design please!
Re: Mista Mista (v3)
I agree with the above comments The absence of Mr. Nice Guy is creative but does throw it off. Imma fan of V2 even though it lacks Mr. Roboto.
Re: ZOMBIE DOOM SQUAD
groovy, yo! Starksy and Hutch meets Day of the Dead.
Re: The House of Madness
wish DBH would have printed this, but I do like the re-working. I'm definitely more a fan of the cranberry than red, but I would happily buy this without hesitation! (voted)
text not necessary, and I think it would be much cooler without it. however, as it is Zombie-related, I must vote.
Re: Dr. Feelgood
this shirt is amazing gmv
lucky1988 wrote:Fantastic!
Wow, thanks. My girlfriend is wearing one of your shirts at this very moment.

Thanks KHK! I was doing my best to channel those old cereal boxes (in my usual twisted way). Good luck in the derby this week! The competition is crazy tough. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Re: Emo Rebuttal
HEY HEY AHHHH!!!!!!!!!
jel2301 wrote:That's true, but that wasn't Jestik's point. Woot specifically avoids printing shirts that are similar to shirts they've already printed. Had that shirt been from another site, there'd be no issue, but since it was a shirt.woot shirt, it's called into question. Whether this is similar enough will be determined by the Rejectorator.
this is true. (and thanks). and it's too bad if it does get rejected, because it's ultimately much better than the original one they already printed
love the shirt, but orange isn't my color.... would love it even more on a blue or green hued background.

Re: 5 1/4 RULES!!!
if only this were an exaggeration
Reawen wrote:It sort of does: Poe Boys, Baltimore, MD review Opened in Dec. 2009. Seafood place, though, which is a waste of such a good restaurant name ^_^
Well the cooler Poe themed restaurant is named the Annabel Lee Tavern. Pretty good place to eat too. http://www.annabelleetavern.com/ I'll definitely buy this shirt being from MD and all.

wow, cool take on the theme. shirt placement seems goofy, needs more color, but still damn good idea.
DUDE! YES!
Re: Leprechaun on Unicorn Playing Polo!
What an awesome shirt, I love the colors and your choice of a cream shirt.
Lets be honest, its all awesome, but what really does it for me is the "video game program"
anjulka wrote:This cracks me up. Sadly, I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable wearing this, however. :-( (I work with too many social justice folks.) You might have answered this in the pre-derby thread, but what's going on with the pink in the bottom?
Originally the whole circle was a pinkish color. When I changed it to white, the last part I changed was the part at the bottom. I decided that I liked the way it looked with a tiny bit of pink under the year. Makes it a little interesting in a very subtle way. Here's no pink for a comparison:
ZOMG I want this - with the full mock-up with the marquee and all! This just ROCKS! Amazing job, as always, you too.
Wow, just ... Yeah. my God, Drakxxxm how can I vote for this and potentially take away from the Zombie Doom Squad?? But I hafta, hafta. >sigh< Hoping for enough votes for BOTH!
kender42 wrote:Sorry Boots, but your slogans are getting old. Apathy != good shirts imho.
Was that a jab or a joke? Of the two (maybe 3 if you count the national parks derby) slogan based shirts she has done, I think they are all funny and original. Love it, Boots! I look forward to owning it!
The previous version just did not look right with the black background. So I changed it to yellow. Much better.
Love everything here!, dudes you are amazing! full of win! +1
Re: CoCo Mug
Omelets made great they killed Coc, the bastards! This is LOL funny!
Re: Simply Irresistible
I think drawing one of the chicks on guitar in the video for this song, sans text, would have made an awesome T-shirt! just saying.
Re: Hamster Kisses
As a big fan back in the day, this makes me Lol. With a bit more polish on the execution, this could really rock - pun intended!
Now available in yellow!

This is very cool. I'd wear this.
