Seems like there is only about 5 or less shirts between 14th to 17th

And there seems to be no activity in area that makes the reckoning the most interesting (or I am not paying attention like I used to).

Perhaps, but there are no (good) numbers right now to truly know what's going on.

On the old stats page I use to add the "shipped" number to the "ordered" number to get the current sales. I haven't looked again at the new stats page since it started giving errors so i don't know if they still have the same numbers.

If I ever need an alias...

Some of you may have noticed that I've been drawn back to woot by an email from a Reckoning friend letting me know that my post from last night and your responses to it were censored by woot staff. I suspect my response is not exactly what they had in mind when they chose to censor my post to my Reckoning-thread-mates.

To recap the important bits from last night's post:
- I have some outstanding obligations that involve woot and I intend to fulfill them. However, as a result of what happened today, I no longer feel any responsibility to continue the "Good Samaritan" posts around woot, taking up wootbot's slack, directing customers to the right place, or offering accurate information (see the second half of this post).
- The numbers-watchers and Reckoning-thread-regulars are an amazing group and I am grateful to you for all of good times, knowledge, and friendship that you have offered to me. However, as a result of what happened today, I double that sentiment.

Are the Reckoning numbers sorted out yet or is it still BETA BABBLE?

Unless you KNOW that the RECKONING is the place Woot sells other available shirts, you'd never know to push the one lonely button at the top of the main page

Not to simultaneously change the subject and jump back a few days, but I just got my copy of Nevermore in the mail. (Smart Post doesn't run any faster to here).

Narfcake wrote:

(sigh) ...

I bought this one the same day as Narf (except during the Woot-Off), but I don't find it to be very readable. Granted, I don't have an older copy to compare it to.

Here's a picture I put on shirt.woot's Facebook page earlier this evening. Nevermore is the one on the corner closed to me. It looks like a blank from that distance.

Also took a screen capture when I bought it saying it was still on AA. Disappointed that it wasn't; however, it is for the wife and she doesn't care how wide the neckline is, so I'll just leave it at that.

Yeah, so there's that...

Still screwed, so no numbers again.

The typeface got bolder, hence the improved readability. OTOH, Anvil's smoke color is darker than AA's asphalt color. I still wonder why they didn't revert to charcoal/slate blanks for the remix ...

I'm sorry, did you just say that you're confused by woot's failure to think a problem through and consider various solutions? You silly boy (cake - nerd - bunny - whatever you are)!

As we all know, only posts directly related to the Reckoning are allowed in this thread, so I'm afraid that if I mention the newest side sale and the fact the wootbot failed to show up for work again, I might have my post deleted again, so I won't mention either the newest side sale or wootbot's failure to do his job. Instead, I'll note that I recently discovered Kinnikinnick's gluten-free, allergen-free (except eggs) donuts and they are seriously good.

Gluten-free donuts [are they texturally different from good old fatty, sugary donuts???] could never compete with the fine high calorie shirts currently for sale in the Reckoning

The Danger Zone has barely moved at all this week. I'd be interested in seeing how all this change has impacted sales, but, yeah.

I've come to the conclusion that the chance to directly observe consumer behavior via The Reckoning is the main thing that attracts me to Shirt.Woot. (I buy more shirts for my teenage kids here than I do for myself.) I feel my interest slowly fading with each passing numberless day.....

It's back to guessing for us all! The crystal ball is mighty dusty, but maybe I can get some readings...

1. Secret Love and One in Every Group will make it out over the weekend.

2. Only Memories will flirt with the Danger Zone but will survive in the end.

3. Despite some fight left in them, What Me Paranoid and Dragon Nebula will fall.

By the way, Donut Panic is selling on AA blanks for all sizes as far as I can tell. Finally picked one up!

To elaborate (and go off-topic), it traded out a slow week for last week, which was stronger. Also, the amount needed for survival has dropped, hence a moderate selling shirt now ranks in the low teens instead of the high teens.

FWIW, I did buy a third copy before it switched to the imported Anvil blanks.

The Guy In The Apartment B: -251.49 real time DSR
Yup, the system has broken down...

citizencoyote wrote:It's back to guessing for us all! The crystal ball is mighty dusty, but maybe I can get some readings...

Oh, we're back to crystal ball predictions?

1) By Monday Wreckoning, we may need to find Narfcake a padded room with gentle lighting and an abacus.
2) I will find a way to link to this thread at least 25 times between midnight 6/2/2012 and the Wreckoning.
3) Woot will mess something up between now and the Wreckoning.

Hmm, I feel like I'm guaranteed to have all of those come true, so I should probably go out on a limb with at least one prediction.

4) Funk Buddies will be reckoned.

Oh, for amusement value, check out this post by a woot staffer; be sure to note the time stamp on the post. Does this count for my third prediction if I typed the prediction before I saw that post?

Tonight, I'm angry. I'm over feeling violated by woot staff. Now I'm really, really angry. That I was treated like that. That I haven't received an apology. That apparently woot staff came into this thread and defended themselves (I didn't see it; if someone did and has any memories of it, could you PM me?) before purging everything.

Oh fine, I'll add a fifth crystal ball prediction:
5) By the Wreckoning, I still won't have received an actual apology that at least pretends to have some idea of what woot did wrong.

Is that enough Wreckoning-related content to pass muster or will another one of my posts be deleted because it criticizes woot?

Yeah, I'm furious right now.

Absent the numbers (please, oh, please bring them back!), it's hard to tell, but after reading newnie's observation (paragraph 6), I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that sales of shirts in the Reckoning have slowed to a crawl since the redesign. As a new visitor to the site, would you have any idea from the front page that there are other shirts available besides the shirt-of-the-day and the side sale items? It's not exactly intutive to click on "Reckoning" to see what else is being offered. If newcomers never find the Reckoning, then sales are probably going to suffer.

loridi: Thank you for your support! BTW, Funk Buddies is incredibly cute. It's a shirt that I wouldn't have purchased before the switch (and it was something of an impulse buy in the middle of the night), but I really like it. It has an old-fashioned black-and-white feel to it.

What happened?

After I saw your post, I started by editing out the pictures in my post, and then, little by little, kept taking out more stuff because what was left didn't make any sense. Eventually, the post contained only a bad joke related to Narfcake's real appearance and I gave up on trying to salvage anything from my post. (Note: the gluten-free donuts have a surprisingly good texture, especially after being microwaved for 25 seconds!)

I was also referencing, I suppose, that I am giving up in ways related to why I removed the pictures.
