Anthony3419 wrote:Listen, There is a reason as to why these designs are so popular. People love them and they wear well. I am not reinventing the wheel here. Also it is similar to the previous entry but totally different. The only thing that is the same is the color scheme. This is my talent. I enjoy creating abstract and grunge. Your talents lie in another catagory and are just as well. Thank you all for you comments and continued support.

No harm intended... I just feel there is more potential than you are showing. I would like to see what you can do that does not look like what is in every store.

I listened to alot of movie soundtracks.....Jurassic Park F T W.

I shall upload a larger version if ever my internet would like to WORK

You just gave me the best idea ever. I'm so gonna download the jurassic park soundtrack from amazon when I get home from work and make the theme song my new ringtone. THANK YOU!

AS for the design, it could be just me, but it looks to me like he's facing backwards, but his feet are forwards. Does that make sense? Because it looks like the music is behind him and if he's the conductor, he should be facing the music, right? If you would fix that, I would totally vote for this, cause it's pretty cool.

Re: Music Pirate (resub)

Resubbed with more of a music context- Thanks to all who voted for the original submission, and I hope you'll consider supporting the updated version as well. At first I was a bit confused by the rejection, but after thinking about it, I saw that there really wasn't anything tying it to music specifically. Hopefully I rectified the problem now in a subtle way

(As a sidenote, not sure if it's clear from the comp, but the asphalt parts of the shirt are obviously going to be the shirt color and not an ink color)

I don't like the shirt, but it is TOTALLY on theme. The rejectors at Woot are very inconsistent... and they stink like bologna.

Turns out, amazon does not have the album for download, they have the individual song though. I'll have to check itunes i guess. I hope my internet is working again.

Seki, I've never been too fond of your supercute anime inspired style (though I did buy The Amazing Race shirt because I enjoyed the concept), I can honestly say that this design is very beautiful and it is nice to see you go in a different direction with your art. Would love to see more things like this from you. Colors are great, placement is great, could live without the ipod, but over all I love it. GMV and will purchase if it places. Well done.

Ya know, I thought the same thing when I saw this, was about to post my thoughts then saw this comment, glad I'm not the only one.

I've loved (and bought) several of your designs, but this one has me torn. I love the look of this design, but really don't like the inclusion of the iPod. Sorry, but this week, you will not get my vote because of that. Maybe resub without it (or substitute the iPod with something else) and the shirt will definitely get my vote.

This GMV, but I agree that the shirt would be better solely as a side design, without the cord/ipod attached, as I feel it detracts somewhat from the beauty.

Thanks everyone for the comments.. I feel like the design could work without the ipod, but the main reason for the inclusion was that I wanted there to be a place the music was coming from, because I KNOW I would get the comment of "the headphones are not plugged into anything." The second reason was that I wanted to have a contrast between technology and nature, and the ipod is a very good example of that. So part of the reason for inclusion was to illustrate the concept that life can be contained within something so technological.

So ultimately, I like it better with the ipod, and I hope that you can see it from this perspective as well. And if you can't, I hope you can let it not bother you. (And if you can't do that, sad, but it was a design decision that I don't plan to change. )

Re: The Essence of Modern Music

The idea behind this design is that, today, in a lot of music genres, more than staffs, clefs or notes, people use samples and loops, and most of the work is done on sound manipulation, rather than the interpretation of the music by musicians.
