Getting paid money to goad people who suffer from righteous indignation...

woot has never needed to be subtle about goading people. I'd like to imagine they're actually getting sick of it but, again, don't have the cojones. It's probably a very accurate description.

Remember: woot firmly believes that the cream will rise and the chaff will sink and the metaphors, tho mixed, will settle themselves. It's a stay-the-course mentality (and we all know how well that works out). At this point, changing things, even if they want to, would endanger all their sheep, because they've driven out just about every freethinker at the site. Changing is what their site needs, but it could come at a huge profit expense. It's a matter of being brave enough to do what's right regardless of consequence.

It's probably also part a matter of pressure from powers above them, and certainly above the consumers. Shirt.woot is not woot. It is another branch run by different people, but it is still owned by the guy who thought selling tacky, outdated, refurb'd electronics, and clearing out broken product for a buck, was a great way to do business. I'd be surprised if the greed bug hasn't hit the shirt-side too, but I'd be more surprised if they're not being pressured by the higher-ups to keep this disgusting status quo.

But yeah, I'm sure a bunch of people who don't even know how the reckoning chart works are probably way more correct than I am.

But why is the number sold listed for the top seller of the week a cumulative total of its first day sales and all other sales in the week whilst the number sold listed for the week's bottom seller does not include first day sales?

Is it just to made for a more impressive gulf?

I foresee a lot of wooters with all 27 of these shirts on the next random shirt day after each one reckons.

honestly, I find that more often than not, it is medium-sellers that people find the most of in random bags, based on most of what I see in forums. But even so, ANY SHIRT COULD BE IN YOUR RANDOM BAG. This is basic education, like realizing that rain replenishes water and gives life to plants, instead of being the death-knell from the sky god.

Welcome to all the nations of our own Shirt.Woot Cup, where the diehard passion of a design's hooligans helps it advance to the next round. Can Holy Guacamole! and Nature's Harmony advance out of the Danger Zone before the Danger Zone designs become reckoned Monday at noon and then disappear forever Monday at midnight? What about Sakura Samurai and Turtley Trippy? That would really shake up the standings, anyway. Only one thing's certain: regardless of the outcome we'll be shirtless, drunk, and rioting in the office before it's all over. Stop by the Reckoning today before you head off to your favorite futbol bar and buy a shirt!

Maybe the bottom seller 'does' include first day sales!

it really -should-... outside of a week where shirt #27 was a reckoning survivor from previous weeks, I don't think there will be many cases where the fewest tees sold after the fact won't remain #27. Ergo, it's a pretty pointless stat.

In this case, no - 991 total 27 this week

I picked up Nature's Harmony last week, and it came in today...

at first I was like "yeah it looks awesome" until I compared it to what it's supposed to look like:

I'm gonna blame the women's (smaller) screen size, but damn, it's kind of ugly :/ I can see some very, very faint, pale blue ink over parts of the shirt that didn't get a white under layer, but they're not going to survive a washing. bleh. the photo of this I saw was a mens' size and looked better.

I'll still wear it as-is, probably, unless another girlie out there can tell me theirs doesn't look this way.

Does anybody else find it ironic that Rosie the Retrogamer is both the Most Women Friendly and also the most talked about.

I bought the Rosie shirt. I am a woman, and wear a women's xl, but I like a baggier fit sometimes, so bought it and lots in a men's medium.

They all bought up Music and Impostor.

Sad to see Nature go, but from the pic I've seen posted it looks like that shirt should have gone a while ago anyway. And someone saved the guacamole! Hooray! It lives to fight another week! :D

Then poor xazy must have gotten a bad print. Or maybe the women's screens really are worse than the men's. :/

Edit: Speaking of which, has anyone gotten Rosie yet? I was thinking on buying it up come this week's paycheck but I want to see how the colors came out, seeing how it was more than the normal six...

I'm sorry, where are you getting that? It sold 375 shirts total, 95% of them on the first day, so about 356, with an additional 19 shirts going the rest of the week.

At the bottom of the reckoning chart; it's listed as 18 shirts now. Maybe that's just today? Or yesterday? Either way, it's not good because it looks lovely.

It's just for the week, which excludes first day sales--if you check the full stats it has the 300+ number listed.
