Original inspiration came from The Partridge Family logo of the partridges in a line.
Yes, I know the TV show was from the 70's, but the style of that art is from the 60's.
Additionally, the background was inspired by the bus in the same show, which I believe in turn was inspired by Piet Mondrian.
And I do know that Mondrian died in the 40's. However, his style and influence pushed well into the 50's and 60's in several different artists and mediums.
