i keep coming back to this design because i hate it so much, i have to come back and make sure my hate is known to the whole community and that they should all agree with me with even more fervor than i.

whoever made this design is a disgust to the human race and should be banned from the site for annihilating the quality of submissions.

i will never buy another shirt, or a brick of batteries from woot ever again unless we all get justice for all, under god, one nation, indivisible and justice for all.

The text in the upper right looks weird. I think it's because text in 8-bit games tends to be left-justified. Having the strange justification throws a lot of it off.

Plus it's a little weird that the mailman has such a thick border where the rest of the design doesn't.

The design is good otherwise, but those small details kind of hurt the bigger picture.

I understand that the items are supposed to be seperate but the position of the hourglass seems off to me.

Woot is being Veerrrrry lenient with this week's theme.
I see lots of designs that are far beyond 8-bit graphics and have little to do with "everyday mundane things"

Reminds me of art school:
"Do a design in pen and ink"
Everyone submits a pen and ink design except one dude who does a 3D shadowbox and gets an A for it.
