Now that is an idea... I am a woodworker by hobby (code monkey by profession) and may have to try to make it into a reallife kitty condo when I get a cat!

Maybe but Leonardo the turtle is not.
Re: Electric Eel
Very funny! He just wants to recharge his battery! I wonder if eels get gout?
Re: Moooon Landing
I like the udders. Go, lady cows!!!
phylumsynthesis wrote:SEMPER FIDO This is a respectful homage to the loyalty and tenacity of the US Marine Corps. It's based on the photo of the flag raising at Mount Suribachi, Iwo Jima, by Joe Rosenthal taken in 1945.
Really love the homage to Rosenthal's photo! It's also, speaking as an historian, nice to see some respect for the subject matter in this derby...rather than turbunguins re-enacting historical inaccuracies.

Re: Where's The Cheese?
Your execution is always grate, but I'm not very fondu the idea. I mean, you cheddar believe that mice intelligent enough to get to the moon would've sent a probe first before going to all that turophile. Really though. It's no gouda.
Re: Cheese Pyramid
Great Design!
I'm pretty sure it was July 20th, because that's my birthday!
Re: Solo Flight Across the Atlantic
The "Lone Eagle" Charles Lindbergh embarks on his solo flight across the Atlantic. Entry by dsgnGrl and greystone9.

I see what you did there...
Re: One step for cats...
I think the thumbnail has it on black. Unless my monitor is acting up, which it does sometimes. This is so cute I made a :3 face when I saw it.
Re: 1776: Angry Americans
I understand changes were made, but Angry Birds are very sensitive about their characters and game. this is still too close to their characters and would be pulled if it won and printed, if not rejected before hand. On redbubble there were several similar AB mashups done which were all taken down and removed by redbubble due to DCMA's issued by the company that owns AB's including one of my previous AB woot entries.
You are correct. Unfortunately for me, some sources put Neil Armstrong first stepping foot on the moon to be July 21st.

Re: Moon Rabbit
Love your style! Adorable.
Re: Going Down With the Ship!
I love the sad cricket!! I would so buy this shirt.
I kept thinking of the flaming pigs the Romans used as weapons. I had that Beck song in my head the whole time I was drawing this. "Now I'm running like a flaming pig..." Pig roast anyone?
Re: Leonardo
where is the front left leg of the easel? also the turtle on the stool appears to be more to the right of the easel and his pencil should be to the edge, not the middle of the picture its drawing as it is now positioned.
The ice cubes are a perfect touch, looks great!
Re: Semper Fido
I love the vintage feel and the expression on the face of the dog on the bottom.
Oh, Walmazan How I love thy style and sense of humor. I normally cringe at even the thought of the Titanic (due to a certain film by a certain director...), but this is absolutely hysterical, and I would definitely buy this! +1
another angry birds rehash? the design is cool though.
I don't quite get the popcorn, but it's a cute design nonetheless.
"No cheese, Gromit! Not a bit in the house!"
While I like several of the designs in this derby, this is by far the best one so far. Awesome.
Re: Pip-squeak
WOW! You, sir, have outdone yourself This is pretty freakin' epic, I don't think there's one bad thing I could say about this design, it just looks flawless! And as somebody else pointed, the colors and shading here are insane! Kudos! This is just magnificent Definitely GMV!!
Re: I Am William Walrus
It's the Battle of Sterling Bridge, I swear!
shikausstan wrote:Maybe but Leonardo the turtle is not.
Then it would be copyright infringement, right?
nessa204 wrote:I like the udders. Go, lady cows!!!
Unless your take is the same as that barnyard movie. Even the boys had udders in that universe!?
Love the irony!

Thx, it is a play on orville reddenbocker popcorn. I thought it would be cute.

Okay this took a bit longer than I thought it would. I'll probably take a break from drawing tiny mice after this... hope y'all like it

Re: The Red Baron
Rejection, much?
Love this! Is it on navy or black? (Looking for great entries on the now "rare" colors that might end up being printed on AA!)
paigeg wrote:It's way too early to call a Derby, but this and Patrickspen's entry have GOT to be at the top.
That would be cool! I've learned not to get too exited, though. There are a lot of really strong entries this week.
