This shirt design makes me all kinds of happy.

That write up sounds appropriately like the book text. At least as well as I can remember it. I love those books but it's been a few years since I read them.

Abbylove1234, have you tried the fit of the Anvils? They might suit you better then AA.

This is a fantastic shirt; the use of white as the positive space and black as the negative space is visually stunning and so appropriate for the subject. Plus, this is one of the best write-ups I've read on woot - truly captures Carroll's tone and logic. Kudos to both the artist and writer!

I came to say what Neuro said, but Neuro said it better than I could have so I'm just going to quote it so everyone has to read it twice.

Very cool Wonderland/Totoro fusion, but no one I know would get the reference. That's ultimately the crux of all Woot shirts.

What does the base of the clock say?

I think I'll buy this one for the days when I need to be much muchier.

No one has mentioned so I will. This is a mash up of Alice in Wonderland and Totoro.
Edit: and as I post this someone mentions it :P

This is the only shirt that I liked from this derby round, and I'm really glad it got printed! Totoro is one of my favorite anime, and I love the Alice mashup. <3

Yes. すばらしい所 subarashii-tokoro "Wonderful Place"

I want this shirt. I want this shirt, but unless the vorpal blade goes snicker-snack and cuts and reforms it into a print on a larger shirt, I will never own it. Consider this: When is a customer not a customer?

Love the clock. Just reread Alice and as mentioned, the write up is a nice treat. Always interested in how the voting winds are blowing and Studio Ghibli is one of the more refreshing pop culture directions.

Like Poe? Of course you do, you're here ; ) Try my new mystery novel:

I have to say, this is very clever and a well done shirt, but nobody I know would have seen Totoro. I had to google it...

But still a well done piece of art.

I would have been impressed if it said "ふしぎの国" (fushigi no kuni) instead since the Japanese version is called "ふしぎの国のアリス" (fushigi no kuni no Alice). Oh well, it's still a good mash-up. I'm in for one.

As a fan of both Miyazaki and Carroll, I must say this is the best shirt I have seen on Woot in a long time. The fact that it is black makes it more of a good Seattle Shirt.

I noticed Washington was the top of the buyers! Hell Yeah... Uhm... not really. It just means that I will see someone walking the streets with the same shirt on. Then and only then will the High fives start to happen. Oh yes, they will!

I will read Alice in Wonderland and watch Totoro with buttery popcorn this weekend. Oh yes I will!

I don't see this so much as a "negative space" design, because the white basically just takes the "outline" role usually filled by black. But, the black on white is done really well, and I especially love how the rain is drawn.

Almost a buy for me. I just don't generally like mash-ups, although these definitely work together (and I love Carroll and Miyazaki).
