Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

When I was in a beer mood, it was more a brand than style choice. I liked trying different Dogfish Head Brewery experiments/regulars.

Whiskey until you can't taste the beer, then whatever. Usually more whiskey though, honestly.

I don't always drink beer, but when I do, it's either Sorachi Ace (Saison) or Monster Ale (Barleywine).

My favorite is Posthumous Pale Ale or maybe Dewback Dry.

Do I see a side sale in the making?

I'm beer stupid, I can never remember the difference except the colors go with the names and dark isn't always bitter. I like not bitter, but I'm willing to try new ones all the time. Kinda the same with wine. Can't remember what I like, so always trying something new.

Oh, yes. Paulaner & Spaten make a great Oktoberfest Marzen. I LOVE those German beers, and have not been able to make one as good as that at home.

My tastes for beer kind of change with the seasons.
In summer, I like lighter German lagers, IPA's, Pale Ales, amber ales, etc...
In the winter, the Stouts, Porters, cask-conditioned stouts, more IPA's, I love the Russian Imperial Stouts (North Coast makes a great one...).
Our sports bar had Obsidian Stout on nitrogen tap. Oh, yeah...
Of course, a quality 12+ year old single malt scotch, with one rock, is good too...

(That's pretty much went through my head when I was reading through the choices and picturing which one I would like to be drinking right now.)

There's a couple of Porter's that I can drink any day, but I usually go more IPAs when it's summer, something light on the golf course, and something heavier on the mountain after snowboarding.

I love a good Nut Brown, it's just hard to make a good one!

Don't Panic.

Hefeweizen overall probably, my favorite brewery is Boulevard in Kansas City, MO and they make a fabulous wheat beer. I also love a good stout, so that's a close second. Favorite seasonal beer is pumpkin ale by far.

I'm off work early today and am drinking Weihenstephaner Original, one of the best lagers in the world. ;)

Love this! Plus the descriptions of my favorites: amber, stout, and pumpkin. Although some of my all-time favorites are Oktoberfests and a good porter every now and then...

Being underage, I have only had a sip of a bad IPA, which happened to be a bad bottle. However, while this may not count I have brewed several batches of ginger beer. I would recommend it highly to anyone who doesn't like "real" beer. My personal favorite store bought brand is Reed's Jamaican style ginger beer
