Re: Dance Macabre

Illustration is nice, but it just doesn't have a "wow" factor for me. Its just dead people dancing. Just my two cents, but you have SICK drawing skills. I would kill for half of your talent.

I loved watching this design "grow" in the derby comments, and I love the changes you made based on feedback. It's a beautiful design.

I liked the comp you posted earlier with some soft elements in the background, this seems too plain as it is. The ballerina came out very well, just as an overall comp I want more to look at.

Creepy. Reminds me a bit of those clear body models where you could see the skeleton inside of them.

Re: Sumo Dancers

The design is a take-off from Matisse' The dance 1. Sumo really is a kind of dance, though slow and ponderous much of the time, and looking at Matisse' painting, I just see Sumo wrestlers. I hope it comes through, and people don't just see the goofiness of a bunch of Sumo dancing in a big circle prior to the start of their practice each day.

I can see the template on my screen, no problem.

Do you have a larger image you could post of this? I'd love to see it in greater detail.

Re: A Matchstick Romance

Great Idea. Maybe the green footing could be a little less circle and make it a halftone. I still like it though.

Icemank - I didn't say in the other thread, I think the wizard's head turning was a very good move - improved the design by a lot!! I still wish there was a bit more movement in the trail, looks more like flying to me than in the horizontal one, but still - great job!

eHalcyon wrote:The grey in the detail image looks a lot lighter than Woot's template asphalt. If so, you should resub immediately to avoid another steampunk fiasco. I might be wrong though; I'm not at home right now and I think the colours appear lighter on this computer.

Actually, looking at the comps for printed shirts, I'm thinking it's just the computer. Double checking wouldn't hurt though.

You know, it really does happen. I have a book I adore, called "Dancing with Cats" (I think that's the title), and it's all about real cats dancing - no joke.

Feedback and votes appreciated, thanks!
