Last leaf pickup for us is tomorrow. Drat. Not likely to get leaves raked tonight!

Neighbor is putting a bathroom in his mom's house.
It is a cape and he is just putting a dormer for the bathroom.
No one has done that in years. Not in the 30+ years we have lived here.
But it seems too narrow. A bathroom needs 5'. It looks like he is making it narrower.
Why bother???? His mom is aging quickly and they will be selling the house in a few years. So why not at least put a full bathroom? How much more would it cost to make it another foot or two wider???
This guy makes so many strange choices.

I'd be safe and warm, if I was in LA.

Damn, now I need to go find that cd and listen to it.

Best album 25 cigar bands could buy!

Wow, look at the songs linked on the page!
Simon and Garfield did a free concert in Central Park in 1981.
I don't remember going.
Why wouldn't we have? No kids yet.
What could we have been doing if we weren't there?
Maybe we went and I forgot.
How could I forget that?

When will the animals get use to standard time?
I have a cat walking around my chair and meowing and a dog staring at me, slowing wagging his tail if I look at him.

It is only 4:21!
Come back later!

Good morning everybody! Our decluttering is winding down. We are just about ready for the carpet cleaners. Pearl the cat has found cat toys. She is having fun. Now we have cat toys scattered around!

Daughter is going to stay in the mountains. She and Elizabeth and the baby daddy will visit Thanksgiving day. We are going to stay at the beach. Everybody is happy. We will go to the mountains for Christmas. We have invited our down the hall single guy to have Thanksgiving with us.

Had a crown put on this morning (tooth, not tiara). Not nearly the ordeal I was expecting. I think (think because I'm computer illiterate) that he made the crown with a printer. Can they do that? He was sitting beside me with a computer and putting in the dimensions and changing the size and then said something about putting it in the oven, then came back and put it in.

short answer: the computer carves it out of a solid block of stuff, and it's glazed in an oven.

Awwwwww.

Actually, before they came out with whitening strips, my teeth were only one shade off of the whitest on dentist's scales. One of my few good points.

A side note - some people should be told when to stop with the white strips. Their teeth could be used to guide ships into harbor.

Wow, went to get Paul Simon with Sting tickets at MSG.
$276 a ticket!
How the hell do they sell out the garden at those prices????

I just paid $360 for two tickets to see Billy Joel for my birthday and that is about as high as I will go. It is higher, but Where's the Football?.

Now maybe if Paul Simon was playing a smaller place .... maybe then.

Who is going to these shows????

$360 for two tickets is $180 per ticket. that is less than $276 for one.

Mr1, the "good seats" were $276 for one ticket.
The "cheap seats" are $180.

I didn't know they were the "cheap" seats, because they were all that was available.
Because it was the first day for the Paul Simon tickets, there were still "good" seats.

The Garden holds almost 40,000 for a show. It sells out. More than one show.
