Re: Don't Ask
Collab with Ignorant. Hope you like it.
Re: Don't Blink!
I'd definately buy this! Great job as always!
Re: IT Tie
It can work as a "Shaun of the Dead" shirt too.
Mavyn wrote:This was rejected last time because it was too close to the art from the game...not sure making it ascii is really that different, nor if that qualifies as sufficient revision as required by woot for any resubmit.
I really dont know what your talking about this looks like a bunch of little letters and numbers to me.
Had to vote just for the pun of it!

Thanks! I giggled out loud when I thought of it.

Thanks Omar- Been getting lean and hungry- figured it was time to step up my game! heh
wakho wrote:This is cool! Not sure how acii art is done. I could be wrong but seems like you can just generate a drawing. Sounds like this was designed straight from the keyboard. Hope your hard work pays off in the end!
Thanks a ton! I am certain there are easier ways to do it manually, but yeah, I did the whole thing with the photoshop text tool (including font color). You could have achieved the same thing in a word processor. I used to make them in Microsoft Write back in the olden times.

Good point. Just add your own red.
Re: Blue Screen of Flaming Death
Presenting my completely self-rendered, first-time-ever ASCII art, humble derby submission. May it please the WOOT lords.

Nice work! Good luck!
Love this, I want!
Wow! This is so good that it took my mind off the fact that I'm not gonna make it because I'm looking at an image of an angel.
If I do, I'm totally down for one. :-)
It's like some wicked computer virus. +1
Re: Return of the Kid
Awesome job on the shirt. Voted, hope it makes it in the top 3!
oakenspirit wrote: You have to enter this later. So good.
Thanks Oaken Spirit. I ended up submitting it the non derby way too. It's my first time . Not sure how this stuff works yet.

Thanks :-) I wouldn't want to be burned by that virus! Oooh, bad pun, forget I mentioned.
Thanks, I appreciate it!

Great! Hope they pick it up. If so, you got my 2 bucks. ;)
Re: Ascii-art Time
What time is it? No seriously guys, I've been working on this for who knows how long and I don't own a watch. Help!
Re: Chemically Flawless
This HAS GOT TO WIN!!!!!
thumper62 wrote:This HAS GOT TO WIN!!!!!
Yeah, I foresee this being rejected.
Re: Cake lies
If this shirt wins the derby, there will be cake for everyone!
Re: The Sierpinski Code
A two-sided shirt for a three-sided fractal! A work of mathematical art in log_2(3) dimensions, combined with an object lesson in Perl obfuscation!
The Sierpinski gasket is on the back of the shirt; the Perl code to generate it is on the front (over the left breast).
Re: The Text Adventure of Link
What if everyone's favorite action-adventure game series was an action-TEXT-adventure? Well, the title screen might look something like this.
Re: The Ultimate Answer in ASCII
i like this but i think i would really like it a lot more without the dolphins... and im not sure why B^(
Re: Dragon´s Lair
This is cool!
You need to include a picture of your design on a shirt though. To show the size and position of how it would print.
Love this idea. I had hoped you would put "Letters from my parents" on the shirt. Thanks!
Re: Letters from my parents
Extra credit for showing the whole process, good job buddy!
Re: Devil is knockin´on heavens door
Some of your designs are pretty neat, but they will probably all be rejected. You have to put them on a shirt in your comp image.
If you resubmit, make sure you mock up a shirt with your design. I also recommend you play with color; you're using one, but you can have up to 6. Finally, I think your signature in the design will cost you some votes, I recommend you keep your sig out the design itself. Welcome to the derby!
Re: Star "Ascii" Wars
It looks cool but there is no shirt template :/
Re: Take a Look!
It's in a book!
tbolt86 wrote:I love pie, and pi! I was hoping to get to 5,000 digits, but I didn't want the font to get too small.
Just out of curiosity, for those of you who memorize pi, are there people out there who memorize it by computation. If so, I want in.
Hi Community ! I´m new at this site :D I´m a ANSI/ASCII Artist (prefer drawing in blocks but als like newskool) from Germany from the amazing ASCII/ANSI Art Group called Blocktronics (you can find us on facebook or the www) . Here is my entry for this derby .
harzack wrote:It reminds me of the old spectrum loading screens. Great!
Oh yeah, it just needs some yellow and blue flashing lines around the outside. ;)
This is very cleverly rendered, Omar. Great work.
Re: Something Wicked This Way Comes
Inspired by one of my favorite books/movies of all time.
Think Waddams... maybe it wins along with my design ;-) and it can be an Office Space inspired design too... LOL!
You have way too many colors. The limit is 6...
