Re: Wednesday's child is full of woe

Could not resist checking back on Wednesday again. She seems to be stuck at 13 votes, which is oddly appropriate, considering where she came from. I do hope she gets some more though, I'd love to see this print.

Re: Why the caged bird sings

A beautiful shirt, a wonderful poem, an incredible woman who wrote the poem. Maya Angelou was a great inspiration to me and to countless other people.

Your shirt design is a sweet tribute to her... and I do hope it prints. If it does, I am in for one, and maybe more.

This is a beautiful design! I hope that it does well... definitely print worthy!

But I can't help wondering... as I've wondered many times before... why do you shirt artists submit great designs so late in a Derby when they have less chance of picking up enough votes to print?

Thank you for your kind words. Normally I wouldn't bother submitting so late but this design was a battle for me. I changed it several times and still am not 100% happy with it. I gave up working on it but decided that I should finish it. I went ahead and submitted it because I finally finished and I don't really see it making much sense in any other context outside of s poetry derby lol

Agreed on the hilarity, but I think it should be "at my front door" -- we don't typically say "in my front door" en ingles.

And to think Ocho just told me people like to tattle on me. It is probably not as dramatic as I hope it is but still makes me feel popular.

Hey thanks! There will be 3 winners with the most votes, they are sold on the front page Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Woot also puts up a sale on Mondays with some of the runner-up shirts they liked.
