He also referenced Ralph McQuarrie, who according to Wikipedia "designed the original Star Wars trilogy." Still, Spaceballs is not Star Wars and neither is Ralph McQuarrie, so technically, this entry doesn't violate the rules per se. Plus it's a fun design!

I don't understand why it needs a cat--other than because it's on the internet. I would wear it without the cat, but I'll vote for it on sheer artistic merit. Thanks for demonstrating the merit of this theme.

Haha, that is clever. I get why it's on baby blue but I wouldn't mind seeing it on Navy or something.

Funny that you mention that actually... This was my original idea, though I did try it with and without the cat and debated on it for a while. I ultimately decided that it gave more purpose to the design and I liked the boldness of the red and how the shape of the cat contrasted the overwhelming amount of roundness in the design. I'm also obsessed with cats and didn't put him in for the sheer purpose of popularity... believe it or not, lol. Thanks a lot for the vote

Don't worry - it's over the heart; most people think the heart is farther left than it actually is.

This shows real imagination and a sense of humor. I'm impressed and, even though Alien scared the bejeezus out of me, I'm voting for it. Great job, zonkeyArt!!

I can't resist the combination of wolf/dog and sci-fi. I can envision this printed on not only T's, but hoodies, journals, totes, and so forth. Great design!

The second SF book I ever read was Heinlein's "The Menace From Earth" from that point on, I was hooked on Heinlein, and the cover art by Gene Szafran will always be what I immediately call up when I think about classic Sci-Fi Art Masters.

This site has a good collection of his Heinlein covers. http://www.glimmergraphicsprints.com/SzafranHeinlein.html

Re: Battlestar Galaga

Not being sure which version of BSG this is from. If this from the classic ver, then I see a color problem. the Cylons in the classic series used blue bolts while the Colonials used red bolts. IOW, the colors on the laser bolts are reversed. Just sayin'. = 3

Re: Building Alien Life

My inspiration was H.R. Giger, his influence of Prometheus and Alien and how Aliens and Humans were created from Space Jockies is incredible. Creating life reminds me of building life, and what else do you build with, but Lego!!

Ha- that's embarrassing-
-and I am normally so careful-

I don't see this one going too far but I will correct it and post that later today- I liked this idea so I was considering reworking it later anyway- Thanks for the sharp eye-

Not as embarrassing as spending a few awkward minutes trying to hold a pen the same way. ;)
